Actually, it was in reference to the difference between Humans and Pokemorphs. Whites and blacks. Just because they looked strange and differenct from normal humans. (edited by Clockworkz on 01-21-06 09:03 PM) |

my only only ONLY complaint is that the tail seems a little thick near where it comes out of her back end, whereas on an actual umbreon it begins thin, thickens a bit in the middle, then theins out again. But its nothing big, didnt kill my enjoyment of the picture, and overall, this thing rocks my word. I LOVE the gloves, and is that a Dustox near her hand? Nice touch I'm digging this.

Luna Moth, but close enough. Thanks, man. I thought the tail looked fine. Still do. But thanks dude. Espeon is on deck...

I think that the curves on her are a little...deficient. Other than that, I´ve no complaints
I really like it. (edited by Ran-chan on 01-22-06 07:00 AM) |

I made a few fixes. The tail is now more Umbreonish, and the right arm isn't as nearly out of proportion. Clicky. (edited by Clockworkz on 01-22-06 03:23 PM) |

The... Tail doesn't fit the body. It doesn't look like it's being used to balance at all; she's just standing there, and then has a tail for some reason.

The tail seems...well, Alastor said it kind of the best. I still thnk that it is a very creative drawing though and I think the background and the quote add so much. You have talent--keep it up!

I believe a proper canon excuse for the tail seeming to be there for no reason is that it became vestigial when the pokemorphs went from being animals that actually needed it to balance to humanoids (who, of course, can walk on two feet without one).
Gawd, Kyouji, you just don't have anything nice to say about these at all... Then again, looking at it again, I think a slight bend to her figure, so that she doesn't really seem as... you know, flat...ish in the front and possibly making the tail more slender would benefit the picture quite a bit. The face and addition of the gloves, however, is excellent. Both are perfect touches for the portrait. I don't quite get as much attitude from this as I do from the other two, though. Just a single static trait, if that can even be described... (edited by Monochromatic feline on 01-23-06 09:14 AM) |

Orphaned at a young age, Nicole, or Nikki, as she likes to be called, liked on the streets of a large Pokemorph city. She had no job, or money. She grew up stealing what she needed (the CD player in her ears is a result of her handy-work with theft), and doing odd jobs, and selling things on the black market to earn a tiny morsel of cash. Because of this history, she can appraise anything at a glance. Now 18, Nikki still wanders around the city, looking for a more stable life. She hasn't had a warm bed in 12 years. Ding! I get more, actually, of an emo feeling from the Espeon than I do the others, she seems more like the typical street type.
Still, no real problems with this one, other than that it opens up some old wounds... Which is good, evoking an emotional response from your audience is what you want. |

I should make one just to spite you, Yoro XD
I'm working on Vaporeon now. The right hand is being a big ol' bitch right now. Her hands are on her hips, and she's looking slinky and sexy in a bathing suit (since she is a water type, after all). The right hand is not behaving. *yells at it* |

Who says he has to have like a skinny head? Pokemorphs can go slightly beyond the normal proportion attributes. Anyway, this sprite wasn't going to be shaded, so be happy about that, folks. Anyway, that's just an example of an alright Electrodomorph. |
