For the purposes of this thread, I will not require
Perfected iambs, anapests or trochees. No sire. However, each couplet you write must, in syllables, match Else someone shall call you out, you ignorant bizzatch. Fourteen syllables, methinks is too long, So ten, for this set, would not be so wrong. So ends post one, to be rhymed in post two. |

Schweiz oder etwas [12:55] (Dr_Death16); I swear, the word drama needs to be stricken from the dictionary, for I've heard it so many times, it will permanently be imprinted on my brain Since: 11-17-05 From: Kingston, Rhode Island Last post: 6431 days Last view: 6431 days |

It's not all that hard of a thing to do...
Ten syllables, you say with your pride. But what happens when you fail an aside? Or worse, if orange makes it into the room. It is then that the thread will reach its doom. With this I will leave, without further ado... (edited by Grey cat on 12-29-05 12:08 PM) |

Fools who write "orange" can be called out too
Obvious efforts to derail the thread Will leave offenders to end up most dead. Arbitrary was ten Six works, and four, and then Twelve, or twenty, or two, but never one For that would be a cop out. Lines must run Beyond merely a word |

That is what I have heard.
But if one word makes the most sense, Why must I use a whole sentence? What if the word is many syllables long? |

For I find it to be quite a waste of time.
It seems to me that this is doing quite well But I think soon I'll have to sit out a spell Until I get back please go continue this, |

Syllables don't match, ignorant lightweight!
Hopefully now we'll get some better responses, Perhaps along the lines of the Rennaissance's. And so once I again, I bid you adieu, |

Stop attempting to make our rhymes askew!
If ever I have seen such a bold, daring thread Now ideas start formulating within my head Who says which way the wind shall blow And spread our seeds each place we go And bestow upon others the graces of rhyme I must say, this inginuity is sublime! Can someone keep this rhyme alive? (edited by Clockworkz on 12-29-05 02:54 PM) |

It's almost as bad as waiting in line for the bank
I'm not sure what else to say Except maybe this, my dad is gay Though that has nothing to do with this I felt that it was amiss What else to do besides Martial Arts? |

Eh, I dont know. Eat some sweet tarts?
Nothing to say here, nothing to learn... Fire is hot, and fire will burn. Yet some things are randomly said from the back of my mind And yet it happens with almost the rest of humankind. Now continue this phrase that drags itself on into a random speil of grey. (edited by Jingle ATW on 12-29-05 07:13 PM) |

Nineteen syllables indeed make for long-winded and inherent stupiditay.
Changing the endings of words Will that get me morphed into turds? Slivers are evil, slivers are sly And when they eat you, no one will cry Fantasy settings provide splendidly, see, Material for copiers like me. Mwahahahahahaha, evil laughter is fun, |

For it commends the tongue and cheek.
It has taken me a while to adjust; However, I play, for I feel I must. I have nothing much else to say. If I tried, I'd be here all day. Thus, I end with an exclamation! |

Who's quite clearly a fool, just as big as they can be.
Look at the ignorants, hey now why not laugh at them, Tommathy knows what he's doing so I'll just quote him, "However, each couplet you write must, in syllables, match Else someone shall call you out, you ignorant bizzatch." Why can't the idiots make the syllables work? (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 12-30-05 10:48 PM) |
