This is a collaborative thread where you give people a safe but weird experiment to try.
Look at a digital alarm clock, vcr, dvd player. Find something really crunchy to eat like cereal. While you eat it, watch what the numbers do. They'll go out of place and make waves. It's very odd. |

So I'm not the only one who sees that...
I've always been a fan of waving my hand in front of a mostly-white computer screen myself. |

If you take a shower and leave the windows closed, you'll make steam!! Then you can write your name on the mirror and write "I <3 Acmlm's" and stuff. It's awesome. You should try it!

I put the back of my head on a message chair.
The T.V. gets wavy. I think this happens because the occipital lobe (sight) is located in the back of the brain. I don't know how Alastor does it with his chin. |

I did that once, totally screwed up the colors on my TV. Now that I have a plasma, I will definitely NOT try that.
But the magnetic thing would make sense because only the T.V. is wavy and not anything else. |

I get interference patterns on CRTs when emitting certain frequencies. In other words, when singing or making silly noises.

Seriously though you should try singing in a computer store and watch all the monitors go haywire. |

I'm not sure if it still works but try staring at yourself in the mirror for a long while and after awhile it looks like you start to disappear, like your arm or something.

You know those pattern picture things, where if you stare at them long enough they're supposed to become something? Yeah, try those. DO THEY ACTUALLY WORK FOR ANYONE?! >8(

Originally posted by BioOriginally posted by spel werdz rite No, it happens because the massage chair/massage thing makes your head vibrate at a rate that's got some sort of relation to how fast the TV is refreshing its display. Related thing to try: Stretch out an elastic band horizontally in front of a TV, and pluck it. Then stretch it vertically and pluck it. And Danielle, do you mean those Magic Eye things? I've never had any problem with those, but a lot of people I know would bet large amounts of money that there's not actually any picture in them. (edited by Jagori on 12-30-05 03:02 AM) |

The magnetic thing works due to the way that CRT's and TV works. Anyway trying videoing your T.V or your p.c. You should se the refresh rate. Its really fucked up.

Some times when i have more than one TV turn on (in different rooms) it sound like echoing, like if i were in a church or sth . I've only tried when they're transmitting the same in different channels (That should be because some channels have a delay in the signal compared to another ones, just guessing ) |
