| as of this Friday, I will have Cable DSL through roadrunner (the lite package, which I have been told now offers 768 Kb downstream rate and 128 Kb upstream.
when I get more $$$ over the summer, I'll be upping the package to 1.5 Mb/s, but right now, 768k is good enough. good bye 56k and good riddance. I'll finally be able to actually download a video file longer than a clip now (without waiting 5+ hours.) not sure if games like quake 4 will be playable with the low upload speed, but I don't have a choice right now. anyway, cheers to getting a real connection. |
