Hmm...I have a few interesting small ASM hacks for you all who make them...
1. for super mario bros. 1, is it possible for mario to carry stomped turtle shells or buzzy beetle shells? There is no need for a sprite hack, if you can manage a good carrying position for the shell as it is carried and as mario runs. Please make this for me, if it is possible. 2. for FF1, can someone make a new fight command that makes characters "jump" like in later FFs like dragoons? You can either replace the fight command or just add the jump command, whichever is easier. The "jump" command i'm looking for doesn't require many graphic changes. You may just make the character in his victory position, then the sprite disappears, along with the possibility of it getting hit by a foe. then, on the next turn, it attacks a random enemy. If someone could do this, I would be very grateful . Thanks for your time. |

I would like to request two custom blocks for SMW.
First, I need some kind of the "Sprite Smashable Brick" , which changes into the next Map16 when hit by a koopa shell. Second, I need a mix between the "Sprite smashable brick" and the "Goal Block", so what I need is exactly a block which ends the level by hitting the block with a shell. (I posted the request some time ago in the "old" board as well, but you know, it's gone now, so I try it again) If anyone could help me out with these two blocks, it would be really much appreciated!! |

Hmm... I think there already is a "sprite smashable brick"... If I'm wrong... sorry.
Anyway, I think that this thread should be kept for mainly for SMW asm and custom blocks, as that's is what this thread was started for. I'm not a mod though, so I have no real control, but I think if a ASM hack is for a game other than SMW the poster should specifically make sure that people know that it's for, e.g. Super Metroid, and not Super Mario world. |

You'd have to have a custom block which checks to see if it was hit by a shell (there is some RAM address or another which would tell you... I'll look it up sometie for yo), and if it's a shell sprite, then it acts like another block which blows up, AND ends the level via a goal.
To do that, have the MAP16++ block act like the goal block,so that both blocks will be triggered at the same time. |

I have a small request- I'd like to hack SMB2 to remove the "Shrinking Mario" effect. However, I don't know the first thing about doing this, and if I did, I forgot. I'd still like Mario to have the health bar, though. | |||

I use lololol...mabey that has something to do with it...but left click nor right click will give me the download. Left click will bring me to the top of the thread while right click/save as will give me a corrupt file. I just simply retyped the link into the address bar. No biggie . | |||

I could explain this. Really I could.
But, the short version is that most free hosts don't allow direct linking to files. You either need to post a link to a page on the same site which in turn links to the file in question, or copy and paste the address into a blank browser window. Incidentally, the link sends me straight back to the page I'm already at. |
