Or they could just do like they did with my laptop's power cord -- the transformer is a little ways down the cord instead of being the actual plug

[edit] Forgot about Xbox 360.

Because then they'll run afoul of the nefarious (yet lucrative) wall wart remover mafia, DUUUUUH.

And they do make power strips with wider spacing. Hell, my girlfriend has a power squid, with all the jacks on cords to avoid this problem.

I've always used ordinary extension cords. They're super-cheap, and hold up to two wall warts (or even two warts and an ordinary plug, depending on how big the warts are). They are kinda long, but provided you know how to use wire cutters and electrical tape, that can be fixed.

I really do wish more companies would switch to inline "brick" transformers though, especially for computer equipment. Wall warts make very little sense now that virtually everyone uses power strips...

Yeah, extension cords are good for that but then you end up with a ton of wires running everywhere and all your cords used up.

Is it just me, or does that have a ground plug for the wart, but no ground on the actual plug? Seems dangerous...

Also, I must admit, this is the first time I've ever heard the term "wall wart", and I think it's absolutely hilarious.

Me too, actually. I recall hearing it but not referring to these; no idea what it was referring to at the time or when it was said or who said it etc.
