In Flames - Food For The Gods.
It's the live version from the album The Tokyo Showdown. I bought it a good while ago, along with the live Children of Bodom album Tokyo Warhearts. (I was thinking about posting about this in the other thread about stuff you bought, but never got around to it) Anyway, The Tokyo Showdown is pretty cool. I listen to it, whenever I am/ want to be in a good mood.. A dead mans banket.. FOOD FOR THE GOOOOODS! |

Artist: Deftones
Album: -- Song: Jealous Guy (John Lennon Cover) I like the original version so I thought it wouldn't hurt to check this out. It is okay. I mean, it is difficult to top the way Lennon sang it. Main reason ia m listening to this is to get myself hyped up for the new Deftones album that comes out this month (Oct 31) I hope this album is good enough to erase the crap that was their self-titled album. Listening to "High Life" by Daft Punk, from their album Discovery.
I simply love this song. I love this band. The only techno I can actually enjoy. Their works may be really repetitive but it works. High Life is good proof of that. The sound simply makes you want to gyrate and stuff. The rhythm, like their overall music, is simple yet refined. |

Crossing The Rubicon - The Human Abstract from the album Nocturne.
As for a first album, this is hella sweet - and the instrumentation first seems weird, but soon it turned out to be great for me. The band defines itself as "Metalcore" (I never heard something from that sub-genre before), but they somehow retain to make every song unique enough (Mea Cupla - drum work!, the "disordered" Echelons to Molotovs), without going too far. It is kinda hard to desribe. For Black Metal listeners this CD might be too smooth, although some songs opens up pretty nice (Harbinger - after the intro) and the lead singer really puts effort into his work, but for everyone else this might be worth checking out at the local dealer. As for me, I'm very pleased with this piece of work. |

Zombie Rock N' Roll by Electric Eel Shock
Anyone who likes punk(original stuff, not that shit now, like Taking Back Sunday, that people decide to call punk) or a bit of thrash metal should check out Electric Eel Shock. This song, just like most of their other stuff, is very fast paced. EES is pretty much about speed and noise-- something edgy. They are Japanese and as such, their songs are mostly in the language. They're something like the Ramones. Short, sweet, and a lot of good hits. |

np: The Game: "One Blood" (Remix)
That's not entirely accurate, actually. It's more like "The Gane feat. Jim Jones, Snoop Dogg, Nas, T.I., Fat Joe, Lil' Wayne, Noreaga, Jadakiss, Styles P, Fabolous, Juelz Santana, Rick Ross, Twista, Kurupt, Daz, WC, E-40, Bun B, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, Young Dro, Clipse and Ja Rule". Seriously, how did they get everyone into one studio? That's, what, at least 23 verses? It's almost 12 minutes long. Ridonkulous. Kinda like Twista taking it slow for his bars, then going super-Saiyan near the end of his verse. The sad thing is I only recognized Snoop, Jada, Twista, Ja Rule (sucks)... did I seriously miss Nas? I am made of fail. |

The Soundtrack for "Pick of Destiny" by Tenacious D. It's alright, I wouldn't suggest it, though. Kinda pricey and not that long. On the bright side, I have the Pick of Destiny | |||

neoMAX (Full Version) by DM Ashura
An interesting take on the MAX songs of DDR. It starts off slow with a piano and then it pummels you with 300 BPM of madness. Its... awesome. Sounds like a song you would hear during a final boss or something. |

I've got The Littlest Man Band playing through my 'phones. They're an interesting mix of indie/alternative/jazzy stuffs. The band was started by Scott Klopfenstein, one of the trumpets for the ska band, Reel Big Fish. It's a lot different than RBF and isn't ska, but my Tor, it's so good.
You can give them a listen here: http://myspace.com/thelittlestmanband Just the lyrics and his voice make it worth the listen. For me, anyway. |

"A Warm Place" by Nine Inch Nails
Its a nice instrumental song from them off of their album: "The Downward Spiral" which is apparently considered to be among the best albums of all time. (edited by Kai on 12-01-06 04:11 AM) |

"Yana II" by Quiritatio (Quiritatio on MySpace)
It's a local hardcore band from my hometown. I like this song, and especially the addition of violin and cello. There's something melancholic about this song, but in a good way. |

Gravmar and the Gravediggers - Penaltyfuckin' with a Cactus
On Myspace It's a Norwegian punk/rock band from the Bergen area. I'm not sure what they're trying to do, if they're trying to be funny or what? Their song "Mensa" made smile, though, as well as the image with that cactus.. Oh well, I will go and see them in concert saturday next week. From what I have heard, they're supposedly something special to witness live. Whatever that means. |

"Within a Deep Forest Soundtrack - Arctic Wastes"
It's a song played in WaDF (neat little game, really) during the last part of the game; everything's frozen/dead in the future (where you visit!) and, naturally, it's a pretty cold, lonely song. It's fitting of my mood lately, to say the least. |

Welcome to the Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
Just started to listen to this band...mainly b/c (I'm not sure who it was) someone kept mentioning them on the board a while back, so on one of my sprees to find something to download, I remembered the name of this band and got a few songs from them. Not bad, not freaking great either, but its good enough to listen to. |

Pink Floyd - Narrow Way Part 3
Didn't even know I had this song... I always keep my mp3 player (2,000 songs) on Shuffle All and this song came up a few days ago and I thought...why didn't I know I had this? I love Pink Floyd, though. They've got some really weird stuff around, but songs like Time, Sorrow, and What Do You Want From Me are some of the best songs I've ever heard. |

Artist: Rilo Kiley
Album: Take Offs And Landings Song: Science vs Romance The band of the moment. I am totally digging Jenny Lewis' voice for some reason. I was interested in this band ever since I found out Jenny contributed vocals to The Postal Service album Give Up. I have all their albums and their entire collection is rad (First time I used this word...ever) I am a sucker for female vocals of this type. Soft, sensual with a pop/rock feel to it. If I could marry Jenny Lewis I would. No doubt. Just to have her sing to me everyday. |
