This game is just... wow.
I kind of missed it (not knowing much of anything about it) but sweet holy christ on a stick. It's an SNES (BS-X) game, translated quite well by Demiforce. It's pretty much a choose-your-own-adventure type thing, novel-style. There are some images, not too many, but enough to drive the point home or at least give some sort of flavor. I can't really say much else other than the game had me I still can't really form words to say how great it is, either... |

I suppose if I treated it as a novel, I could enjoy it. But generally, I prefer playing my games.

I just finished the first scenario. It is a really good game so far, actually. I didn't think I'd enjoy such a story-driven game, but I did O_o
Though it's interesting, it does get a bit old, so I'll put off playing the other scenarios for now. |

Schweiz oder etwas [12:55] (Dr_Death16); I swear, the word drama needs to be stricken from the dictionary, for I've heard it so many times, it will permanently be imprinted on my brain Since: 11-17-05 From: Kingston, Rhode Island Last post: 6431 days Last view: 6430 days |

I tried this a few years ago... got pretty bored of it pretty quickly. I dunno, pure-text games don't really cut it for me in an adventure format. I'm more a fan of detective-style games like Detective Club or Phoenix Wright. Plus, I just wasn't interested enough in Chrono Cross. Trigger had me in its grip for too long.

I've never played Chrono Cross and I've never beaten Chrono Trigger, but this game still got me.
I didn't think I'd enjoy it much either, but I did.... quite a bit, too. And, by the way: The first senario is, by far, the longest. Most of the other ones are silly and stupid, some are pretty deep, but yeah. |

Ah, I played a few more scenarios, and, yeah, some of them are stupid. The one involving the sunflower monster is quite interesting though.

Like I said, most of the senarios are just a total joke, though I think #5 had me laughing like a maniac.
I can't get #6 to work, despite following the FAQ's instructions. I just get what normally happens when you enter Lynx's room at that point in the game, depsite it saying to go there... |

Did you do the first part of the game by sleeping though it, or by fighting though the pack of cats? I activated that scenario just by sleeping. And you should also ignore the flash of light and follow Kid when you first enter as well.
Spoiler:
Then go directly to the treasure room so your party realizes they need the key, go to Lynx's room and get the location of the key from the mirror, go to the study and get it, and immediatly turn around and go back to Lynx's room, and the 6th scenario events should activate. I even double-checked to make sure that this works, heh. I assume you've finished them all except the sixth (if you haven't already when I post this)? My favorite one was scenario 4, just for how... strange and bizarre it was. My least favorite was scenario 2; much too boring and anti-climatic. |

I just went though it normally (falling asleep, yes) but I went though everything else too... I'll have to try it again, then.

I like this game. It's very interesting. It's a cool text adventure; I'm amazed Square came up with this.
I've done the first three scenarios. |

I should give this game another chance, since its been a few years.
I'd have to lean towards Grey / GeckoYamori's points though, just kind of not my thing really. But it has been a long time since I gave it a shot .. |
