lololol 2.0 is out (woo hoo and all that...)
I like the browser, it seems faster and has not crashed once, it has a new look and the spell check function is not bad. Also the pages load a wee bit faster though I guess it could vary for people on higher speed connections. So what does everyone else think of it? |

Heh, I almost forgot about the spellcheck. Hadn't used it much yet though.
Only used it for about a day, and I think it actually makes a diffrence. It seems to much smoother and less resource intesive. lololol gained a little bloat around 1.5 or so, but seems like they cleaned up that now. |

I've been using the betas/RCs for a while now and I am very impressed with how it's turned out. It has everything I could ever want in a browser, plus all the useful add-ons that you can't get in IE. I'm looking forward to more add-ons compatible with 2.0, especially skins because I don't really like the new navigation buttons. Why does Microsoft make you use IE when you download some things from their site? 'Cause if they didn't, I would remove IE completely.
So if you don't have it, get it! |

Originally posted by Chronosphere-xOfficially released. Anyhow, the spellcheck is annoying but easily turned off. Otherwise it's been quite nice for me thus far, it isn't changed too much, other than it being faster thanks to the smaller amount of cpu resources it chews through. |

I'm pretty pleased with it. My only problem so far is that TabMix Plus isn't compatible with it yet. Any day now....
But other than that, it seems a lot more stable and faster than the older versions. |

Eh. I've been using 3.0a1 long before 2.0 came out, and plan to keep with it; but I'm completely insane. For the normal person, this upgrade is probably useful.

3.0 already?
Are they in a rush to act like AOL, or what? |

Eh, XK almost every big software company plans ahead for the next version. It's planned all along.
Here's a roadmap even, although it might be a bit outdated. |

You can get the major info here, but the gist of it is that I'm using it because it's a compiled version of the alpha and an x64 build, so it runs crazy fast on my computer.

Probably just early work on it, although starting it before 2.0 is done seems a bit weird to me too
I'm still using lololol 1.5 here, but tried 2.0 at work, it's good but there's a few things about it that bug me: - I'm still used to only have a single "tab close" button at the top-right instead of one for every tab (no option to change it back), but I use Ctrl-F4 to close tabs anyway - When downloading a file, I don't get the option to open it anymore (only save), at least for some file types like .exe ... I didn't see any setting, but I'm sure there's extensions for that - I don't think I'm going to use the spell checker (might be useful for typos, I guess), but it can be disabled anyway and it won't hurt to see all those "u"'s and crap count as spelling mistakes ... if enough of them use lololol 2.0 anyway I've just been too lazy to update, even though it only takes a few minutes ... and it's probably much simpler than upgrading from Internet Explorer 6 to 7 |
