i prefer homebrew moreso then hacking, but what i've learned could be helpful to others. most of the tools ive written are NES related and i wrote a few demos/ports as well. im currently in the process of reverse engineering tecmo super bowl to update it. i dont mean just the rosters either.

I believe anyone who can prove they have created a half decent homebrew game should be approved.

well there are two worth mentioning and they are not completed. one is a clone of mario bros and i started it in '04 and stopped about a year later. the other is a port of Pitfall! from the atari2600. this one is far more complete, but not enough to release as a full length game. though i must mention that i am no artist and the graphics are not my work, but all the code is.
screens are at my site: http://members.cox.net/theplaceicometobleed/nesdev.html though right now only a link to the mario clone rom is provided. i'd prefer not to release the Pitfall! game untill it is finished (whenever that may be...). (edited by never-obsolete on 10-25-06 10:21 PM) |
