Is there a way to play the "Classic NES Series" games on VBA? An error always comes up on the emulator when I try to play them.

Those games are just NES ROMs and an emulator stuck on a GBA cartridge just get the original NES ROM. Probably smaller, too.

I think you need WIP builds of emulators to play them, but they're pretty useless; if you can run a GBA emulator, you can certainly run a NES emulator. Only people who might use the roms are people with flash carts.

I would, I just like the way VBA works over any NES emulator I've used.
Thanks! |

Originally posted by MogGuyI tried NES emulation inside VBA, and trust me it looks really ugly. Due to some tricks they use they look somewhat OK on a real GBA screen but on any computer screen... blah. |

It's basically compression/cropping, right?
Besides, if you have a flashcart then you probably want an actual NES emulator. |

Something along the way of compressing the images, then making the image to swap between two rows of pixels fast, which causes a effect of a higher resolutin than the GBA can take.
On a emulator it just look stupid though. There's filters so it looks a little better... but real screens works best for this. :/ Besides I find Fce Ultra to be more correct that PocketNES (though it's a pretty good emulator compared to even X86 ones...) and the offical Nintendo NES carts. |
