Cycler
This thing is somehow relaxing to watch. Go ahead, try it ; "q" quits. - and = change the delay. an "s" of 3.0 to 4.5 is optimal (though older computeres can get as low as 0.3, like the WB800 it's hosted on ) Post your thoughts and your "s" rating here (also, bonus to anyone who can figure out what all the readouts mean, excluding "d" because it's obvious) |

I wouldn't know what really works best, as Cycler didn't have a s-rating when I was on the uberfast school computers, and the fastest my laptop runs is a (relatively decent) 3.2 ;
BMF gets upwards of 60 without delay, though, so... |

I wasn't able to change the delay... but that could be because I'm lagging a little bit.
But yeah, that's awesome. I could stare for hours. |

Yes, it would be a nice screensaver.
I need a nice screensaver at work -- is it possible to make something like this into an actual screensaver? o.o |

I'd use it as a screensaver too... considering my current one is "hi." bouncing around the screen...

Convert it to Windows, Xk.
The green colors make it strangely look like The Matrix. |

Try renaming it to .scr, that should work ... but you'd still have to press "q" to exit, just moving the mouse wouldn't be enough
s only goes up to 14 here, for some reason, but I guess it's still enough |

It would definitely be a nice screensaver in my opinion, because at the moment I have no scvreensaver at all.
And the s rating can go from 4.1 to 98 here, though I prefer 50 myself. |

I don't use a screen saver. Are they even necessary AT ALL on newer monitors?

Originally posted by Kasdarack No, but as stated by HyperHacker, they add additional privacy. I don't work in an office where I can lock the door and nobody can see my screen. Locking my computer so the screensaver comes up affords me a lot of privacy. Want to see what I was doing? Nope, no screen for you -- only flying toasters. Besides, I like to freak out my colleagues with my retro screensavers. Flying Toasters, Johnny Castaway... |

Looks neat, I got it to peak at around 23.
also, I figured out r and c, they're obvious once you realize the pattern of the colors. (edited by Devin on 09-08-06 09:40 PM) |

I use Flying Toasters because Flying Toasters.
They're toasters. That fly. And you either understand that or you don't. Edit: Also I get roughly 112 without delay. (edited by Koneko on 09-08-06 09:57 PM) |
