I want Luigi to be able to jump higher as in smb but i do not want luigi to slide as in a mod i saw before. i need to get the graphics from smas to smw (the ones where luigi is taller and thinner). i also want luigi to be the main guy and mario to be the second player. please help me, thanks greenluigi

You do know that Luigi and Mario use shared graphics and physics in SMW, right? Yo'd have to write your own routines, etc to make Mario and Luigi seperate players with seperate graphics and jump height, etc.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. |

No i did not know that. i have seen a few mods where the jump height is different. also in smas+smw Luigi's graphics are different from mario's (as in luigi is taller and thinner than mario) and in smw they are exactly the same except for the colors. what i want is to transfer the graphics from smas+smw to the plain smw. i also want to set a different jump height for luigi and make him the first player. maybe i have to use a hex editor but i do not know what values to use. | |||

There's a patch on SMW Central that will give Mario and Luigi separate graphics. As for the jump height, that's an ASM project.

thank you for your reply but i have already downloaded that patch and i rather not use it. due to my already edited game and i would rather do that work myself. as for the asm project i do not know much about how that works. thanks again | |||

I would prefer that it not be a program that i have to patch or use on the mod. i would like to write the code in myself through a hex editor or something like that. i just need to know how to do this. i have looked everywhere and cannot seem to find the answer. | |||

It's daunting, and if it's too daunting to you, then perhaps you should ask someone to make a patch for you (or get one already out), because we can't simply explain it any more than I have. |

ok i have decided that downloading a patch is the best thing to do. can i download it on my already edited version? also i do not see a difference when i patched the origional version. what exactly does it do? | |||

I really would appreciate it, if you would fix it. I'm also trying to get Smallhacker's seperate Mario & Luigi hack inserted and create a whole new player. Too bad, the location his seperate GFX hack uses, is the same for the HDMA effectes. =/ | |||
