Recently, my iPod became a 5lbs. paperweight. Which got me to wondering, what would one do with a paperweight other than to keep papers from moving around. However, my room does not have enough wind to cause papers from moving around. Thus, I wonder, what other uses of a paperweight are there besides weighing papers down? Do you guys have any ideas?

If you're not using the ipod, just put it in a drawer or something.

Attach it to the pull-cord of a light or fan. Use it as a reminder not to buy stuff like that.

...I can't imagine an ipod being heavy enough to keep a door open. Or tall enough... I bet it could slide right under a door.

Draw a picture of the Sad iPod, tape it to the screen, and hang in your window "Do not buy iPods, they break more than Apple tells you" (both iPods in this house became sad before the first year of ownership; Apple claims there's a 5% failure rate after one year)

Give it as a present and watch the hapless person try to get themselves a replacement.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but paperweights are very very uninteresting.

who needs that ability? i don't have enough wind in my room to cause that to happen. Also, I usually hear of paperweights on the desks of big shots in big corporate offices. these big shots usually ahve offices that don't have windows that open

Paperweights are also good for PlayStation 2 repair. Sit them on top of the CD thing while you test stuff.
iPod is not heavy enough a paperweight for this though. I used a large shifting spanner instead. And my iPod's been going for over 2 years... |
