What emulators do I have to use to play IPS files?

Any. IPS files aren't the actual ROMs. Sending them as ROMs is illegal. However, with a program like Lunar IPS, you can find an un-patched ROM on the internet and use the program to patch the ROM with the IPS patch. IPS patches are legal.

You can't load them on an emulator. Download the program called Lunar IPS and use it to put the IPS patch on a ROM, and THEN you can load it in your emulator.

That right there, is Lunar IPS or LIPS. That's one step short of doing everything for you, hopefully you comprehend how to unzip the files and then actually use the program within. Good luck. |

An IPS file is not a rom, and cannot ever run on an emulator. An IPS file contains the changes between the original and modified rom, so it's a legal way of distrbuting hacked roms. You must find a website that you can download roms from and download Super_Mario_World_(U)_[!].smc, then patch the IPS to the rom. You can then play the rom on the emulator.

In ZSNES you dont even need an IPS patcher, just name the IPS like your clean SMW rom and start it.
