Based on the last few new Simpsons episodes I've seen, it would be far more respectful to retire it now than to let it keep the way it's going.

I think it's kind of weird/funny how the amount of viewers ballooned after it hit adult swim.(same with Family Guy) It was never really that funny. The main problem was that the jokes were either cliche or not executed properly.

Yes! I enjoyed the original Simpsons better... But it's gotten stale. Futurama was different, and god, it was awesome.
