What's your favorite comic strip. Is it Peanuts or Garfiled, or Hagar the Horrible, ect...?
Mines Calvin and Hobbes. I have all the collection books, and I've read every strip. Hobbes is one of the greates characters ever created. It's too bad he stopped makign them. |

Calvin and Hobbes and Farside are my favorite.
I had a book about farside but I must've misplaced it or something. I loved that book. |

My favourite comic strip right now would be M. M is a Norwegian strip, so I don't expect any of y'all to know it. I'm guessing many of you would like it, especially Nick, seeing as how all it basically ever does is reference Star Wars (in a clever way).
As for comic strips of international standing, I'm a big fan of Berke Breathed's Bloom County/Outland/Opus-serieses. As for stories, I'm currently reading "Y: The Last Man". Haven't gotten around to buying Book 6 yet, though. |

Most newspaper comics suck. Calvin and Hobbes is basically the only worthwhile one.
Calvin and Hobbes Get Your War On - Angry political comic Questionable Content - Funny and story driven, kinda indie rock's answer to Penny Arcade. The Parking Lot Is Full (Once called "The most terrifying comic strip on earth" and not without justification). Dammit! the archives are down. Well there's a few here... A Lesson Is Learned But The Damage Is Irreversable - Brilliant surreal art and stories That's about it. Calvin and Hobbes and Dilbert.
Which reminds me, all of my Calvin and Hobbes books, and my one Dilbert book, are stuck in storage from when we moved. |

Calvin and Hobbes, baby. And The Far Side.
I wasn't supposed to find out, but apparently my brother might be getting me the complete Calvin and Hobbes collection for Christmas, as he has a friend that gets books real cheap, and so he's giving it to my brother, but he doesn't want it, and found out through my mom that I adore Calvin and Hobbes. I have probably most of the books that were released, but it'll be nice to have ALL of the strips compiled together in a nice hardcover volume set. And then when I have kids, I can let them read the paperback books, and not worry TOO much about them getting ruined. (Those are some sweet book covers, though...) So yeah, hopefully I get that set! As for The Far Side, I'd love to have the complete hardcover collection of that as well. It's $85 at Amazon right now, so maybe I'll just buy it sometime. I'd just like to state that Garfield has not been funny since the '80s ended. Though I'm not exactly sure when it started to blow. But it certainly hasn't been funny for so many years. Non Sequitor, Doonesbury, Foxtrot, Dilbert, and Calvin and Hobbes rule. I used to like Opus and Bill, too, but I haven't seen enough of it to really appreciate it. As for webcomics...
El Goonish Shive is genius. Questionable Content is another one of my favorites, as is Dominic Deegan. And for a good once-in-a-while laugh, I check out Comedity or Machall. I used to read Kid Radd when it was up, and Bob and George when it didn't suck, too. And one last thing... I DO read JDavis' Super Adventure Quint when he actually gets off his arse and updates it. >.> So yeah, that's what I do with my interweb time. |

Calvin and Hobbes
Garfield As for online comics... Bob and George Ctrlaltdel Eight bit theater Penny Arcade That about covers all the comic strips I read. Also Arwon that comic scares me or at least that one does. I HATE spiders. *shudders* |

Family Ci-(ducks)
Seriously? Doonesbury, Dilbert, Foxtrot, For Better Or For Worse, and Non Sequitur. What's most important: Boondocks uber alles. Those are just active; Calvin and Hobbes and the Far Side get the title shot. |
