| Im using yy-chr and im trying to edit SMB1 sprites(just the sprites of Mario, not the enemies or levels or anything like that.) and i have NO idea at all what im doing, it would be AWESOME if someone could help me figure this stuff out...thnx! | |||

| Use yy-chr and open the ROM .They should be right there when you open it. Make sure it's in NES format at the bottom. | |||

I just need to know how to edit the mario sprites and/or replace them with sprites mfrom another game....like megaman or something |

| YY-CHR can do the same, with minimal confusion.
Click on a tile, any tile. The right side of the screen should present a zoomed in image of your selection. Then it's pretty self-explanitory. |

| Do it by hand- but you'll have to fit the sprites into the pattern set by the game, and piece together the sprites (I think YY-CHR comes with a file to help SMB1, I'm not sure) You could change the tile arrangement, I suppose, but that might be a bit advanced.
Megaman most likely wouldn't work without redrawing Megaman to fit in the tiles- you couldn't just copy the graphics. |
