The one I'm using now is okay, but the noise/sample channel is somewhat off, and it chokes on the extra sound channel from the Famicom.

I can't imagine there being a better one than it. |

NOT SO, FATSO!
It's really only good when you turn off the "Open play control" and turn on "Subclass Winamp" and fix the naming conventions etc etc etc |

Well, if nothing else, it's got numerous support and features.
I think Disch continually loves the fact that it supports N106. At least he always seemed to go nuts over it every time we went over an NSF that included it. Course, I like the fact I can just use that and make an MP3/OGG out of it with Winamp/Goldwave. |

Thanks for the suggestions! While I'm here, what's a good GBS (Gameboy) Winamp plugin?

Hmm... There are two GBS-Plugins for Winamp, Meridian Advance-s Core and NEZ-Plug.
All at Zophars Domain |

NEZPlug 0.9.4.8. Do NOT get the Zophar version of 0.9.4.5 (which I think is the last one they've got - EDIT: They do have it, my bad.). That doesn't support GBSes correctly (which I found out with Drag when he made the GBS for Donkey Kong).
It additionally has an option that you can edit which allows you to scroll through the songs in an outside bar with Winamp going. I forget the actual parameter but it helps out leaps and bounds with the player itself. The only problem with GBS in general is that it feels like a dead art. I've still got Crystal sitting on my drive and I doubt anyone in the world other than Bouche and myself have it unless he cleaned it up or someone's done it in the past six months. It was really dead since '02. I haven't seen any work that would bring GBS up to the same speed as NSF/E and it's really a shame but I understand that ripping and having the specs available is harder than hell for the coding of it. That, or no one likes GBS that much. Shame too, there's some decent stuff on the old GB/C. (edited by Millenia-sama on 08-12-06 09:20 PM) (edited by Millenia-sama on 08-12-06 09:22 PM) |
