Well, I tried that, but the picture looks messed up. I wanted it to be pixel perfect. Like the Bob-Omb Battlefield one in Risio's Cartoon Mario 64.

See? The link for the picture: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/donrayiv/Mario/bob-omb_battlefield.png

No I don't know all of the enemy names by heart like some of you Mario 64 ultra-fans, but there are lists on the web I can use to complete and verify my list.

Think you could do a string list that can be modified by user? (sorry if it's already been mentioned) could work for other "lists" or such too, or interface stuff for translation purposes etc.

You need to preserve proportions; usually you can do this by holding Shift while you resize, or you can just calculate the size yourself. Probably the easiest way is to use MSPaint's Stretch function and enter the same number for Horizontal and Vertical. Once you get it to a small enough size, then fill in the gap with whatever junk.

BTW, awesome scorebar.

That's because your picture exceeds the limits.
It's 146 x 107, which is more wide than tall.
All of the Paintings have a 64 x 64 limit, and if you can't resize your picture to that dimension, then I'm sorry, no can do.

Always resize with Photoshop. Paint distorts the pixels.

While editing textures in tilemolester I noticed that every time you made you own bitmap that when you start up SM64 that the color seemed to bleed. After some experimenting I found out why this happens. As you probably all know, on computers all images are made up of red, green, and blue. When tilemolester starts up it reads those colors from the file and puts them on them on the screen. Where I found the error was when it reads the blue channel from the file it sets it one pixel forward. When it saves the file it moves the blue channel back where it is suppose to be. So whenever you draw a picture it separates the colors and moves the blue one pixel back.

For a temporary counter act to this problem move all the blue color to the right so it will be moved into the proper place when the file is saved.

I will look into a way on how to fix this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In a way, I am lazy. In fact, all humans are lazy to a certain extent. I just wondered if your ethics were well enough to benefit other human beings. If I had the information and enough time, I would certainly benefit any n00b (I guess I am kind of a n00b too.) And rubbing the fact in that I am a n00b and pointing out my lack of knowledge in this field, and refusing to help will not earn you any much glory. I was just wondering if one of you had an idea tosave me some time and pain. But I guess not, and all of you who point of the lack of knowledge in a person to deminish their spirits and make them go through extra pain just for your enjoyment ARE jerks by definition.

@ Juga Juga

None of us got to hack sm64 the easy way. We had to wait many months waiting for the light to come in....

But since I am a good-hearted fellow, I'll try to get you on the path to sm64 graphics editing.

After you extend an unhacked "super mario 64 (U) [!]" image(commonly reffered to as file), with the rom extender (or decompress with the slow mio0 decompressor) open up the game in tile mollestor. Now click on View- block size- custom Set both of the variables (collumns, rows) to 4. Now click on the + or division sign in the corner. Scroll down untill you start to see textures or sprites. Hack them!

Note- Some of the textures will not be visible untill you click the + or division button again.

Uh, Gad..

The Plus and Division buttons aren't meant for scrolling.

Either you use DOWN or UP, or PAGE DOWN or PAGE UP.
Never, ever plus and division unless your texture offset is over 8 pixels or under 16 pixels or whatever.
You definitely should use Page down. That scrolls faster and better.
And canvas should always be 16 x 16. Resizing only when necessary.

you have to use them to scroll one bite to see the textures correctly.

Uh, so you want to put your own Painting on the game, but it's too big?
Just resize it in, say, Paint.
