So, in case you haven't been bombarded by people talking about it, Ye Olden President Gee-Dub is turning 60 shortly. So Nintendo decided to commemorate it. You probably saw this on Kotaku, I saw it on Oh No They Didn't. I think mine's more applicable, seeing as they gave him a DS... and Brain Age. Hinting much? I wouldn't mind a free DS Lite, and perhaps even that program for free is nice too.

Fairly old news (at least as far as I'm concerned), but this made me burst out laughing the first time I read about it. I got the joke immediately. Although it's probably more a promotional stunt than a jab at his intelligence, at any rate it's pretty damn funny. (edited by asdf on 07-06-06 09:39 PM) |

Cool. I can imagine it now: Bush on TV playing his DS.

That WOULD make a hell of a commercial - Bush pimping Brain Age.
If he comments about the gift at least ONCE it'll be worth it pub-wise. |

HAHA GEORGE BUSH DUMB THAT MAKES IT AND ME FUNNY
But seriously, that was pretty awesome of Nintendo to do. At least our president will have a more positive stance on modern games. |

If he even mentions it. If he doesn't then it's like tossing that package into a random gift bag at the Oscars, Emmys or ESPYs. It means little in the grand scheme of things. :\

Am I the only one here who realizes that the odds of Bush actually using a DS - Lite or otherwise - as anything but a paperweight are about the odds of him getting elected First Lady?

To be fair, Bush does have an iPod and he uses it when he's out doing his mountain biking. So he's not THAT bad off.

I got an image for it
This actually made me chuckle a little bit, but maybe they gave the game to him because it is a fun game? |

I like the Touch Generations bag actually; it better not be a super-rare limited edition thing... |
