*DarkSlaya revives.
Now, that's good to hear (well, I do understand that they're still one win behind) |

Edmonton had a great game last night. After that first goal, they kept a lot of pressure on Carolina.
Towards the end though, I had a thought that Edmonton was about to lose their lead again for a 3rd loss. If the team plays like they did in that game 3, they can win this. Even being the 8th seed, it seems that they have a good chance to win. |

oh yeah, he cited health reasons for resigning or something like that...
anyways, the oilers take game 5--thus, carolina must wait at least another game before hoisting lord stanley's cup. Hopefully, we will see the oiler's hoist the cup in game 7 |

it's definitely not over .... I'd love to see it go to 7 regardless of who wins... it's finally turning into a really exciting series.
And the fact that it's going back to Edmonton should help push it to 7. You can never count a team out.... no matter how bad it may have looked at the start of this series. |

Hemsky's goal was sexy. (I looked at the slowed down replays, the puck was still hard to see.)

You realize that if Edmonton actually does come back and win the Stanley Cup, that they truly deserve it. You could also say if it happens, that Carolina deserves the loss too.
That would be sad on the Hurricanes' side. |

That's a performance I'd expect from the Blues. Or Penguins. Or Blackhawks.

*DarkSlaya dies
Spoiler: At least, Cam Ward got the Conn Smythe trophy and not Brind'amour. And damn, the wikipedia article about that trophy has already been updated. Once again, canadian player (edited by DarkSlaya on 06-19-06 10:53 PM) (edited by DarkSlaya on 06-19-06 11:06 PM) (edited by DarkSlaya on 06-19-06 11:08 PM) |

yes, cam ward deserved the MVP trophy--if it wasn't for his goaltending in the canadien series, there was no way for the 'canes to even make it out of the first round...
i feel sorry for the hartford community |

Ward, Staal or Brind'amour (who I like so hush) could have easily won it.
Poor Edmonton. It was a FANTASTIC series though... both teams deserved it. Carolina just had that little edge tonight. |

if edmonton won, they have been the lowest seeded team to ever win the cup in the "modern" playoff era. but as a sharks fan, i'm glad they lost |
