Just now took some time and finished off the rest of the Wily Stages.
My only complaint in them was that trying to use Quickman's weapon on a certain boss in the fortress was near-impossible to hit with. Not exactly sure on their names, but they were originally weak to the Crash Bomb in MM2. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this hack. I'll probably try the expert course some time later. |

Well, I got to Wily Stage 1, and am currently having loads of trouble on the Mech Dragon. I'm pretty sure I tried every weapon except Ice Bubble (and Time Stopper) on him, with no results. Any tips?
*hopes he's not weak to Ice Bubble, since it's nigh impossible to hit him with it* Also, I have to exp |

You have to use Bubbleman's weapon to kill the dragon..
Jump from the highest platafform, shoot, fall in the lowest one and repeat it until kill the dragon. |

Wow, you finally release it. Great. I better start playing. However my site needs an excellent hack to host it. Don't worry about the screenshots, I'll took care of it and you got tons of it. About Tomorrow, I'll host it on my website.
Anyway congratulations on the new MegaMan Ultra infidelity. It's great. (edited by insectduel on 04-25-06 01:46 PM) |

Originally posted by infidelityI'm still alive, you know. But I've almost stepped completely out of the ROM hacking scene. However, I really enjoyed your hack, it's a really great piece of work! The altered graphics and music together almost makes it feel like I'm playing another game. I won't go into detail, since I'm a busy guy, and since everyone else has done it already... But yeah - good job. Originally posted by insectduelDid you ask infidelity for permission to do that? Sorry if I've missed something, but... |

I've been playing two different difficulties in the US version of Megaman 2. Expert difficulty is like Rockman 2 and the ones in MMAC is based on Rockman 2 as well.
Obliviously I like expert mode when it comes to hacks, it's much challenging too. About last night when I play this, I kick all of their bosses and moved on to my final challenge. |

insectduel - I never though I'd see anything I've created, on someones site, and given such high praise! Thank you very much for your kind words! I'm just glad that you enjoyed the game, and that it left you satisfied! Thank you very much!
SnifflySquirrel - Thank you for your comments on the Guts/Fireman remix! I loved coding those together! I'm thrilled it worked out! I'd like to apologize for the bizzare 10 orbs situation. I had to redraw them in TLP, to give them the appearance they're facing down, instead of side to side. I also had to edit each of the graphics x/y positions, so the orbs appear properly,*especially the flashing line that goes back and forth* Due to the hex editing of the graphic x,y positions, I believe the point where damge is taken, was not edited, and the damage point is just below the orb. I didn't encounter this problem when converting the Sniper Joe Walker, into the MM4 enemy. Once again, sorry for the confusion on that battle. (edited by infidelity on 04-26-06 07:04 PM) |

infidelity, you have truly outdone yourself this time. I am loving everything about this game! I'm glad to see you put new things in it from before. The only level that stayed almost exactly the same from the first version was BubbleMan's satge. Nonetheless, it's awesome. Good job. Top-notch. (edited by Skie the Kitsune on 05-20-06 07:46 PM) |

It'll be very refreshing to have a hack that's not based on the first 3 for once.

Oh my gosh, I remember this way back from like August or Semptember of last year, and I loved it then. If you've put 8 more months worth of work on it, then it's even more spectacular that it was back then, and it was damn spectacular then.

I was never happy with my original Megaman Ultra Release! I was still very new to hacking, and just wanted to get something out wicked fast. But at the very moment I was releasing it back then, Matrixz was able to help me understand, and be able to accomplish my original goal, "find, edit, create, your own music. This is when I decided to redo the entire hack.
Another reason, pallets were not friendly to me, period. If any of you remember my original release, you all remember the awful pallet choices I had. *ugh* But of course, as time goes along, and you do something consistantly, you eventualy get better & better with what you try to accomplish. Now with Megaman 4, I'm excited to get my hands dirty, in learning the music engine for this game. I have interesting choices for soundtracks, to accommodate the games theme. Also, as you know with the latest release of Megaman Ultra, everyone knows I replaced the Sniper Joe Mech, with the Big Red Jumping Guy "I have no idea what it's real name is" from Megaman 4. With that accomlishment, it has opened the biggest door for me, when it comes time to work on Megaman 4. Let me just say, for the first time, there will be a complete overhaul of Megaman 4. I'm excited to take on this challange, and I'm just thrilled at how much praise I've received, over this release. All that time and effort, has really paid off! |
