I'm having a small problem importing my background when I import it to LM the colors come in decently but it eats up the ground tiles and 15% of normal sprites.
my backround aize is 256wd to 238ht I have attached a picture so you can see what I'm talking about. what is the right size I should use for backgrounds ? had to remove image do to a problem with image shacks services. (edited by MadMikeXP 3 on 05-09-06 12:44 AM) |

Lemme just say this now.
Wanting that as a background makes no sense at all. ... But simple logic indicates it's 512x432 pixels of background space, though you shouldn't need more than one GFX file for something like that, if you tile it properly. (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 05-08-06 11:53 PM) |

An 8x8 graphics page is 128 pixels in width and 64 pixels in height.
8 8x8 tiles in height, 16 8x8 tiles in width. |

Originally posted by Alastor the Stylish I believe he is going to use it as a title screen. That size should work fine for a title screen, as long as you move it down to ground level. If it's going to be used for anything but a static (without a demo) title screen, though, it's a bad idea. |

That's like... Few colors. Couldn't he make that without making its own background, if he set things up cleverly? | |||

Originally posted by Alastor the Stylish no, because, there is 6 color used for that BG(including transparency), and layer 3 can only have 4 color |

Ok I did what Bio said and I had to drop down the colors in my custom fonts and size and change it to something diffferent I gave it a mystic blue color.
I would post a screenshot but thanks to alastor's first and second comments I won't release one. I do have 3 questions though. 1. when Import a background to lunar magic I need to have a size of 256wd to 238ht correct ? 2. if I want to change the backgrounds picture color say like the sky do I need to keep it to 1 color graidient or 2 gradient colors ? 3. how many tiles can LM handle so I don't screw up my hack by a small and petty mistake ? |

Originally posted by BioRight, because it's IMPOSSIBLE to have palettes set up so that joining colors are shared between them, and everything on the layer has to use the exact same paletteOriginally posted by Alastor the Stylish (edited by Alastor the Stylish on 05-09-06 12:51 AM) |
