If the leaked version is any indication, I'm going to buy the full version. The AI sucks alot, but you're not supposed to play against the AI.

(notice the political incorrect names... there were only two human players in that game.)

Oh yeah, you gain points by killing people, and lose by getting people killed. You gain more points than the opponents will lose though, so the game is biased towards killing than actually defending in normal mode.

Expect that Random dosen't mean "evenly distrubited numbers" If you flip a coin 100 times, you will get a average of 50/50, but it dosen't mean that it sometimes goes 90/10.

Yes, there have been commisions on furbid going that high but eh... it's usually artist that are (too) popular. :/

I wish I could help in some way but... I have no way of sending money. -.- Also my economy is a bit fragile at times.

Zidane: Remember that this game was released 1994/1995 orginally or something, which explains it's graphics. I think it looks better than the rollercoaster games... which is ironically made by the same programmer and graphics guy.

Sukasa: Well, on big maps it's really worse... if you're using anything bigger than 256x256 map size (which is the default one btw), even the best computers is put to strain.

Also it seems like the AI became even more braindead in openTTD... I guess it's becuse some of the new features are confusing it and whatnot. The new AI logic is neat, but it stops working after a few years... it's a alpha too. (you turn it on in configure patches window)

Also signals are important to master. One-way signals are very important in train networks.

There's a newbie page on openTTD wiki, Some faq's. Other helpful sites would be Various network guides.

Also if you feel like you mastered signals, you should take a look at Pre signals.

...also I should try getting around making similar tutorial videos as they are in the orginal TTD. :/ Plus a few more showing how to do some more advanced stuff. Biggest problem I had with learning the game for people is the interface, people just not finding stuff. x3

Meh, my Énglish sucked totally back then and I had no grasp of what a thoughtful post would be. And I was on dial-up back then and also lurked acmlm board now and then... and his site was the only ROM hacking resource I used. xD

...even if the horsepower as measurement is outdated and shouldn't really be used. Like how feet and pounds are.

Well, I played through the first world and it was fine... although the blue cape thing should have a level before or something where using it is totally harmless, like with the cape in orginal SMW.

And the Seiken Densutu catgirl clashes in style. :/

Also the level with the thunderstorm looks neat, but I think it works better if you remove the music... it feels a bit dumb having happy music playing to bad weather.

Some people find the depot thing a bit annoying, although persoanlly I think someone just need to make some sort of drive through depot... or rather depots that have entrance at one side, and exit on other. :/

Also, I'm a bit addicted to pre-signals. I tend to prefer compact designs though, such as This one. compact but still huge enough to not slow down the trains.

Here's how my average ro-ro station with pre-signals tend to look like. Very compact but it dosen't slow down the train much. I could improve it slightly by making that curve a bit longer. Extreme curves slows down fast trains in this game.

One of my more effecient stations, it used to be a bottleneck but after I redesigned it to this design, it works so much better.

Also I might be running multiplayer games in openTTD as soon I hear about some intrest from various people... just tell me in the openTTD thread and I start the current Acmlm multiplayer game I have running. :/

I also wonder why your friend made all thoose... curves. If the lorries starts creating such huge waiting lines, you have too many of them too. >>

Also they're were making drive-through bus stations for realism. Though it really looks good. Some curves are a bit tight, but then the space is cramped. And there's no 90 degress curves, which slows down trains to 30 km/h or something.

Noticed that you also went over to mono-rail there, though some people skip it and just go over to maglev directly if they're been playing with railways. But then you might have started in 2000.

I really need to fix this bottleneck...

Building alot of coal mines, and exploitng lorry stations as catchment points...

From the multiplayer game I played recently... went a bit crazy with oil there. D:

One of the biggest stations in the same game. I like my streamlined layout...

The other huge station... who tends to clog up at times.
