Jack seemed to snap out of his mad delirium when he felt his weapon recoil from Sabata, making less of an effect than he intended. He looked quickly from his knife and to his enemy, hearing the chant for the first time.

Jack: "Hmph, like that'll help."

Jack back flipped high into the air from his position and landed gracefully on another table, his coat falling behind him like his own two shadows. But just after that, he was in the air again - hovering, with a magenta aura radiating from him. Lightning flashed, and Jack twirled in the air, making a violent thrust with his arm in Sabata's direction. In response to the motion, an invisible force then tore through the air, rocketing straight to the Dark boy! The spell ripped apart everything in its path, shredding the fine rug it followed and leaving a deep, burning crevice on the stone floor beneath. It'd grind Sabata like meat in a blender if he didn't move, and fast.

OOC: Ah, that's alright, life'll do that.
---

Jack churned out a few more shots at Grey before realizing that he was down. Seeing this, he hastily stopped the attack and drew himself to height. Could this be it?

Hesitantly at first, Jack made a stumbling approach his fallen opponent, and not without a ready dagger. Although Grey might have really been out, Jack could just as easily expect a trick of some sort, if he had learned anything from Grey's cunning style of play. Gah, Jack hated being in defensive situations like this, especially when he was the apparent winner.

He stopped a few feet from Grey, and surveyed him quietly.

Jack: "Ready to call it quits?"

Both Pies went into a spasm when Zee's cursed blood cut into their armor like an invisible knife. The blood had coated the original Pie, and was divided equally among Alpha and Beta during the split, so the damage taken was whole. After a second of the convulsions, both Pies flashed with light and regained their cool, now clean of blood.

AlphaPie had been too busy to take advantage of Zee's loss of balance, recovering likely at the same time as his opponent. But once prepared, Pie did not hold back; he swiftly skated forward on the air, rod held steady and crackling with electricity! But then, just before making impact, there was a blinding flash of light, and when it cleared Zee was surrounded by
three Pies! Each Pie floated circles around him, their moves precisely synchronized to their twins. This was getting complicated...

BetaPie was prepared to dive into battle with Aether and Hector, until one escaped to the underground and the other to the stands. He detected a being, obviously Hector, prowling around below - likely waiting for a chance to spring up and ambush an unsuspecting fighter. Following suite with Aether, the cybernetic warrior glided to the stands for safety and engaged the girl by firing a polybomb that was aimed to explode on the seat in front of her, showering her in shrapnel.

Jack: "Interesting..."

Grey's yield to darkness drew an excited gaze from Jack. As he saw it, darkness was the only worthy power; unlike the others, only the strongest of will could wield it, and most were easily corrupted by it. Fewer still could actually look cool with dark powers - people always had this habit of become beings of ultimate darkness, arrogant jerks who would call everyone fools and were horrendously overconfident in their own abilities. That stereotyped evil villain always made Jack want to puke. He would continue the fight for as long as he could, but if Grey gave darkness a bad name, he would certainly be schooled as painfully as possible.

Jack had to respond quickly to Grey's attack by parrying with his dagger - a weapon that was never well suited for the purpose with its small size. The crooked blade was knocked away and it tumbled lightly across the court. Jack automatically withdrew his hand, which had taken most of the blow. Muttering sourly, Jack sought to draw his knife back with a wave, but finding his power disrupted for the moment he was forced to run after it.

As Jack recovered his weapon, he thought he heard a raspy kind of ethereal laughter coming from the inside of his head, but the haunting noise was only followed by silence, and Jack focused on Grey again.

Jack: "Didn't know you had it in you, Grey. The will, that is, or perhaps lack thereof. We all have a capacity for darkness, of course, but choosing to use it now... ...I do want to see how it suits you."

Jack's fingers gripped the hilt of his knife readily as he waited in a wounded yet resilient stance. Not enough time for an attack now...

As the Foul Crevice spell continued on its path, missing Sabata, it reduced the book to confetti before it could travel an inch through the air. A green plume of smoke was all that was left among shreds of paper that drifted slowly to the ground. There was finally a loud crash against the empty stone wall where the spell landed, nearly caving it in entirely.

Jack turned in the air and ceased his floating, to land gently on top of the table once more. He leered spitefully at Sabata at the mention of Hel.

Jack: "Well, Hel's going to have to settle with a little disappointment. She could handle some of that for once, I think."

A strange wind seemed to pick up in the room, pulling everything toward a sphere that Sabata's gun had created. It was obvious that getting sucked in would not bring good results. Jack dug his heels against the table as he felt himself drawn inward, and made to dash in the opposite direction when he had an idea. As all of the contents of the room - books, chairs, papers, and bits of glass - chaotically flew toward the core, Jack snatched one hardback out of the air and made a swift cut down the center with his dagger. A brilliant light flashed from the tear Jack created, and he automatically recoiled from it. The book then zoomed toward Sabata's gravity gun, a blinding specter of light in the dark room.

Jack knew what was coming, and only wished that what was soon to follow could have been anything but
light charged. He jumped off the table and hurried away from Sabata, struggling through the storm of flying books and junk, but then an entire bookshelf was uprooted and rolled toward him. Jack only uttered a curse as the huge object knocked him toward the Gun del Hel, just as the light book collided with the gravity orb.

The room lit up with a terrible and powerful explosion of light that would blast both fighters to opposite ends of the room; Jack soared backward through the air with the various damaged furnishings, and crashed right through the stained glass window and out of the church. It was about a five story fall from the great window, down to the jagged hill below a certainly fatal fall. Yet if Sabata were to take a look outside after recovering, he'd find that Jack was nowhere in sight

Something called him toward the window... hard to resist... where had Jack gone?

Both shots hit Jack, who staggered painfully back from the terrible combination of darkness and light. The jet black smoke cleared from him, leaving the natural smoke fires to cloud him instead. From behind the veil, Jack glared at the brothers venomously.

Jack: "So, I see how it is going to be. We'll fight in this inferno, and only one party is going to leave. I think I like it - it's real exciting, you know?!"

Jack chucked his dagger into the ground, and as soon as the tip penetrated the dry earth, a ring of black smoke appeared around him, taking up most of the meadow's area. While inside the ring, all of Jack's abilities would be radically increased, perhaps giving him a fair chance to take on Sabata and Django.

Jack returned to his typical uneven, crouched battle stance, and then dove into some rather out of place casual talk.

Jack: "So, what are the chances that you would make me a vampire, Django? If it'd work at all - not sure, since I'm already dead."

OOC: Who's Jack, Forte?
---
BetaPie had intended to launch a polybomb at Aether so that it would land in front of her, allowing the shrapnel to affect her and the other fighters. However, the magic tripwire ran higher than he anticipated, and struck him down to the ground - it appeared he was the only one caught in it. His polybomb went off course, now actually due to directly hit her. Aether had to be cautious with the polybombs - blocking would only get her caught in the explosion, and dodging the shape would still leave her open for the shrapnel.

After watching to see how the polybomb fared, BetaPie slowly pulled himself up from the ground. His plasticy armor clacked against itself in his quiet part of the arena. Finding advantage in his solitude, BetaPie abandoned his chase for Aether and floated in the air with his arms held down and head pointed in the air. He was charging something...

Whoosh, clank! Zee's spinning attack passed directly through one of the AlphaPies, but the second one blocked with his rod! This could only mean that one was a hologram and one was real, but the third was unknown. However, the two suddenly blinked out of visibility, off to cause mayhem in other parts of the arena.

The real AlphaPie looked at his twin, sensing that a charge was in place. Doling out a final jab at Zee with his electrical rod, he sped over as fast as data coursing through a computer and was merged. Pie's stats were doubled, to return to normal.

Despite all of the suffocating ash and falling debris, Jack kept his stare fixated on Django like a gargoyle. He snickered under his breath as he mockingly placed the tip of his boot forward, triggering Django's reflexes right away. The dark shot came at him, and with extraordinary speed Jack whipped out his dagger and sliced the air, bouncing the projectile toward Sabata in the distance. Some of the damage was absorbed in the blow, but Jack didn't take very much.

Another burning branch fell on him right afterward, and he pushed it away while cursing sourly.

Jack: "Where are you going? If you're looking for me, you're going the wrong way."

Jack's eerie voice sounded from the cathedral above. The battlements near the steep rooftop were bathed in shadows, but as the lightning flashed again, Jack's figure was lit up for a split second. He was hanging from the edge of the covering, upside down like a bat - he had been able to catch himself before falling out of the window. Jack let go of his grip and fell to the narrow platform directly below, finding a place still stories above Sabata. Peering down at Sabata like a vulture, he produced a book from his coat, one with a brown and turquoise cover - the same book that he had been reading when they met. He only had to flip two pages in before he was contented with what he found.

"You may have blown the library to Hades, but I've still got the prize of all the books right here." He waved the book around. Lightning flashed, illuminating the illustrious pages of ghost-like demons. "Oh, you've done it now. Just try and stop this! Ciiaana iuc Cnovaai nr iuc Aartocai..."

Jack was reading a powerful spell out of this tome, and would be finished in less than a minute! If Sabata hoped to avoid its terrible effects, he'd have to scale the building and stop him. Going in through the church would most likely take too long, but ivy lined the stone walls, which could help Sabata if he had no other method of making the distance.

"You're getting ti - urd..."

Jack made a backward leap to escape Grey's initial swipe, but stumbled when he landed. Something had been bugging him for the past few minutes, and he was sure he had just heard it, even if Grey showed no signs of acknowledgement.

"Gyeh hee hee hee hee hee!"

Ignoring the voice until it was the proper time to confront it, Jack nimbly hopped over the yo-yo, and before reaching land he had sliced the air beneath him with his knife in an attempt to sever the connecting string. He was going to follow this with a mad combo pointed at Grey, but he slipped on some strange black goo when he touched the floor and fell forcefully to the ground.

He wasn't kept wondering about what had happened for very long. When he lifted his slime-covered hands, he noted that the skin had been shrunk down to the thin bone. They could have easily belonged to someone over one hundred years old. But the tar substance evaporated quickly, and his hands returned to their full, sleek shape momentarily. He knew the effect of pure decay when he saw it.

Jack: "Atrats. What are doing?"

The puddle he lay in, which was eating his beautiful coat to shreds, pulled itself into the disgustingly lumpy shape of a death sprite.

Atrats: "Oh, you do reckanize me! I t'ought I wasn't making myself clear enough before. . ."

Jack: "I know what you're up to, you hateful little wretch. I learned when I was placed in Grey's mind - you set me up for this."

Atrats blinked silently, and suppressed a snicker.

Atrats: "Maybe I did play the Jack card in my game, but it was only out of considie-ration for yoouuu. Hey, if you were a card, wouldjah be a heart or a spade? A little hearty Jack? Tee hyeh - " Jack made to reach at Atrats with a strangling grip, but the sprite smartened up and got to the point. "You're very determined, Jacky, and you have to be senselessly beaten to bloody bits before you finally realize that... you don't belong with the LIVING!!!"

At this harsh note, Atrats violently exploded and showered Jack with more of the aging goo. Yet when he wiped it out of his eyes, Jack saw that little or no time had passed in the court at all - Grey had yet to react from Jack's evasion. Minding his wounds, Jack staggered up and prepared for the next attack, not displeased that he couldn't seem to get his own strike in.

As soon as Jack was up, a haunting voice passed by the ears of Grey, only audible to he.

"You were right with the fire attack... just make it hit!"

Jack's glowing eyes peered over the edge of the book momentarily. Just as he had expected, Sabata had thrown some dark shots his way. Jack spun out of the way of these, shielding the book in his arms, and was only brushed a couple of times on the shoulder and the leg. As he came around, he nearly lost his balance on the narrow, slippery ridge, but he was able to correct his posture and fall back against the wall. Breathing, he smiled sardonically for a moment, cocked his head and continued reading.

Jack: "T'ciiaana unii ana, innacaicn c'cnvaai nor iuc raicn..."

The rain was getting notably harder, the clouds darker and thicker. As Jack chanted in Netherspeak, turquoise runes appeared in the air and on the surface of the church behind him, spewing noxious liquids to the ground below. Some of the poison dripped down the ivy that Sabata climbed, and could burn him up if he didn't plan his route carefully.

Atrats, petrified in Grey's freezing grip, stared with what could have been indifference at his captor. His thoughts were not blocked with his mobility.

Atrats: "Why you focusing on me? I'm irrelevant. Jack wants to stab you."

Jack had brushed the last clinging bits of frozen tar from his skin, and reluctantly approached the ice block. This was a rather bizarre situation, one that greatly vexed him for some reason. But, most things did anyway.

"What you doing? You gonna finish him now, Jackins?

Jackins peered silently into the fogged ice, hardly considering his options.

Jack: "No, I'm not. Not while he's like this. ...You know, you say you're here to help me, Atrats, but it's obvious that you only mind yourself. I'm not sure what you see in me that's worth exploiting, but I've had enough of it."

Jack pressed his pale hand against the glacial wall. Deep inside it, Atrats would have been quaking furiously if he were capable.

"Jack, you braindeaded ghoulie, you must still have worms in your skull. Exploiting you? I do no such thing. You need me!"

"You helped me once down there. But I can't go back to the Netherworld, and you know that. Sure, I could last for a while, but I would be caught by the Council in the end. You'll have to put your prejudice aside, because I can only stick with the living for now. Besides... I suppose they're not all that bad. This Grey, for instance. He always sees right. He's an excellent leader... quite fit to be boss of the arenas. I could play under his rule. ...Hmph, I wish some others were as just as him."

"Grrgh... you're softening, Jack. That can't do! The rest won't like you, they'll try to exorcise you at sight!"

"Damn you, Atrats, get lost. Grey and I would like to finish our spar. And I would be contented if I never saw your repulsive figure again."

"Huh! Gads! Gasp and sob! Oh, the damned, damning me? There'll be no finishy this time, Jack. Know why? Know why? ...I'm tellin'."

Some smoke clouded Atrats' space in the ice, and he was gone when it dissipated. Jack stepped back and looked frantically about the court, knowing he was looking in vain if Atrats was headed where he thought.

"Oh Coun - cil ... ! I think I found your rogue... Cummaget'um!"

Jack stepped quickly across the court, scanning all around. The match would have to be cut short.

"Grey, if you can hear me... I gotta run. Sorry about the messy floor, I know you like a pristine complex. Maybe we could have a rematch sometime, sans interference?"

Black smoke sprouted from the ground and wrapped around Jack like grasping tentacles.

"Hey, thanks for being one of few with good judgment. Someone else might have been goaded by Atrats - know I was. Hell, I AM going soft." Nearly his whole body was painted black by the smoke. "Pfft, if you want to get one last shot at me, now's your chance. I'd take it."

Jack: "N'au d't'notaa, atonroc - ... what the Hell?"

The book he held in his hands shook rapidly, and before he could react it was flying through the air and toward Sabata's gun! The runes around him faded, losing their power with the spell, and Jack was livid with their failure.

"Again with the gravity?!"

He didn't have a choice. If he wanted to save the book, he'd have to dive in after it. Telekinesis would not have a strong enough effect against the black hole. His mind set on protecting the fragile thing, Jack sprung from his place on the thin ledge, clearing the distance to Sabata's tree, and grabbed the book out of the air just before it was pulled into the sphere. He was just able to turn his back to the orb himself when he was sucked into its chaotic field.

A strange, sickening feeling like being on one of those orbiters at the fair, and then Jack was falling out of the sky a distance away. It was all happening so fast, by the time he hit a surface he could only make out that he had just missed being impaled on a tall, metal rod in the shape of a cross. He had his tome safely in hand, and for that he was relieved. Jack looked to see where he was, and found that he had landed on the steep top of a bell tower, right next to the treacherous steeple. He used the pole to steady himself as he climbed to a standing position - not an easy task on such a wet and angled platform.

The sky was now a dark indigo-gray, fading quickly with the dim sun. The rain was pelting the two harder than ever, creating a tapping roar that was almost impossible to hear over. Lighting seemed to spend more time crackling than not. If Jack hated the weather before, he loathed it now.

He'd be contented if he could just try out the book's power on the dark boy, who was still situated on the tree, just a leap away from the church's wall. From there it'd be a quick climb or jump to the steep roof, and he'd be directly below the bell tower, on which Jack stood elevated another fifteen feet. Jack held the book open, spitting the rain out of his face, and squinted at the pages. They seemed to curiously repel water.

"One way or another, we're going to be an audience to the demon of this book. You won't be stopping me. Mind that the angrier I get with you, the harsher your death shall be!" Jack cackled atop the tower as lighting flashed across his shadow. 'I might need some relief with this...' He thought. "Oh, Samus!!!"

The tiling of the rooftop splintered away, and an eerie green glow drifted from its cracks. There was a repeated pounding noise, and at each thump the crack grew larger and larger... and then, an entire hole was burst away, as an enormous snake-like head shot out of the opening! It may have at first appeared to be a serpent, but one learned of the dead would recognize it as a sandworm; a two-headed, yellow-eyed, black and white striped beast from the dead Saturn Desert. Samus reared its head and roared, revealing its second head tucked away inside its mouth.

The sandworm waited for Sabata to make an approach to Jack, who was trying to finish the spell. Judging from its enormous size, it wouldn't be letting him pass by, so long as it was alive.

There was an excited gleam in Jack's eye as he carefully held the bead between his fingers.

Jack: "Call Bead, eh? I likes it. Thanks. Now, ta-ta!"

He was a complete shadow when Grey was spinning away, and was gone a moment later. In the midst of all the teleporting, four clouds of smoke similar to Jack's shot out of the air and formed a ring around his previous position, promptly followed by a smaller puff that floated above the ground. A quick, irritating chatter followed the last apparition.

"...and he real ugly and mean, he hadta be Jack, I know he's right there - "

The black fog cleared from the court, revealing that these four figures and Atrats were the only beings present. Seeing this, the four looked about and glanced at each other in silent communication. They were all clothed in black robes that seemed to somehow stretch their height to unreal proportions, and at their feet, their robes created an endless flow of noxious gas, which stretched into tentacle-like forms that waved about idly. Most notable of all, the four each wielded a wispy scythe that exceeded their tall statures. The group of reapers turned their hoods toward Atrats, who made a feeble squeak of fear.

Atrats: "Uhhhhhh... y'know, he was here jus' a secun ago, fightin' this nasty psychic kid. Wow, he musta left reeaaal fast. He'll probably be back!!!"

Three of the reapers faded away in clouds of smoke, the fourth delaying a little longer to shake its head disapprovingly at Atrats. He'd be punished for further lies. Now left alone, Atrats grumbled angrily to himself, and then flew out of the arena. So, Jackface would be staying with the steenkening living, and he couldn't change it. With his first mature thought he ever devised, he supposed that he should just accept it and apologize.

"...Nah."

As soon as Sabata was shifting over the rooftop, Samus dived down into the roof and disappeared. Some magic allowed it to travel into surfaces as if it were tunneling through sand. A moment later, its head appeared directly beneath the Dark Boy, bursting from the wet tiles below and attempting to swallow him whole! It would make no difference that Sabata was immaterial, because spirits are exactly what sandworms eat. They normally consume wandering souls of the dead, but Samus didn't care at all that Sabata appeared quite alive. Predicting that he might try to escape, Samus shot its tail from the opposite side of Sabata and swung it down - it'd try to crush him against the roof if he tried to dodge that way.

Things were about to get worse, above. On top of the bell tower, Jack was just finishing the last lines of the page! As he chanted the final word, he expectantly looked down to see the spell's effects... but nothing happened.

Jack: "...Oh, of course. Tuh."

Jack flipped the page, on which were many more lines of the spell. Without delay, he continued speaking in the dead language, while a turquoise rune appeared floating behind him every few seconds. They were beginning to mesh together into a sort of eerie, glowing wall...

Jack: "What, are you just going to sit there doing nothing, both of you?"

Jack tugged over the chest of his coat and stood back in a crouch. The thick smoke enshrouding the entire meadow did not bother him, but the burning branches that fell from the air kept landing dangerously close and were a true threat. In spite of this, Jack maintained his calm and slightly bored demeanor as a faint magenta light glowed around him and he was lifted a few inches from the soil. Adjusting to the change in gravity, Jack twirled in the air for a moment, but then aimed his dagger at Django with a threatening look.

Jack: "Go on and keep that attitude with this. Immortal wannabe."

Jack leaned forward and pushed his dagger ahead of him, and as he did this the smoke around him converged into a giant ball, sucked in by some invisible force. This did not last long, and in the next instant this phantom force was tearing along the ground with phenomenal speed, angled to hit Django and Sabata behind him. Whatever it was, it was powerful enough even without being amplified by Jack's power ring; a thick fissure was torn in the ground that it traveled along, and the very molecules in the air seemed to split into pieces as flew by. The brothers, likewise, would be mincemeat if they were caught in the attack.

"Do Navis even have to blink?"

Jack stepped into the group, after quietly watching the match from a distance for an unknown length of time. He glanced from David to ForteZero, attentively noting the flicker of any eye movements and their subtle shifts in posture in this less violent battle of the SBA. A mischievous grin found itself traversing his face as he addressed the party.

Samus quickly swallowed, contented to have caught something in its mouth. Thinking its work done, it looked expectantly up at Jack for praise, but soon found its bubble burst when the Nightmare Grenade it had eaten exploded in its gut. Shrieking and hissing, the head pulled itself back into the rooftop, followed by its long tail.

Jack was only vaguely aware of what was happening below, as the spell casting took most of his attention. The turquoise wall of runes behind him on the top of the bell tower was nearly a solid circle, with only a few broken marks scattered about its surface. The storm around the church raged on, and lighting was almost constantly striking the ethereal wall, spreading blue and green flames along the tower. Jack felt the flames licking at his feet, and hurried to finish the spell. He had about one final line to go, but it was a tongue twister.

Samus was not ready to quit either. It burst out of the roof with shocking suddenness, and made an ear-splitting roar at Sabata. Once more, it dived at him with both mouths wide open, angled to face the base of the bell tower should Sabata successfully dodge...

The pink aura faded, and Jack gently landed on the dry dirt. He was going to shakily resume his battle stance, when he found that his attack had been successfully dodged by both brothers... and, they had each retaliated with their own special shot. Both the light and the dark shots hit Jack square in the chest, and he was knocked roughly to the ground on his back. He hardly had the strength to get up, let alone dodge the following battery, which only further pounded him senseless into the ground. Once it was over, Jack limply waved his arm in a sign of resign.

"Alright, that's enough... victory is yours," he coughed.

"...I'd tell you to enjoy the spoils, but..."

He only looked up through the ash at the burning trees. His point was easily made; escape would be impossible through any conventional means, as they had spent all of their time fighting to escape. He couldn't help but marvel at the irony, even when it faced him like this. Painfully, Jack lifted himself onto one elbow while grasping a burning branch that had fallen next to him, hardly conscious of the searing heat. Finding that the brothers' shots had curiously drained energy enough even to stand, he just stopped his attempt at rising and took to staring tiredly at them. He sighed.

Jack: "This is the fun part, then. I expect the reapers will be here for me in a moment, though I'm not sure if you guys are game to them. I'm still not sure if you can die, yet. If they do take you, have fun in the Netherworld."

Jack laughed bitterly to himself, as he was reminded of his past endeavors in the land of the dead and how unfair it had all been to him.

"Hope you've been good boys, when Judgment calls."

Jack fell back to the ground, defeated. It wasn't long before he could feel the flames cover his body, and their nightmarish sting. It was a horrible sensation, even to his numbed senses, and he thought that he much preferred bleeding to death to burning.

"It's only a warm-up for days to come," He said to himself, envisioning Suffering, and the reapers casting him into it. He started when he realized that he could even see one in the distance then, slowly shaking its head at Jack in disappointment. It was probably someone he knew, someone he had reaped with in the old days. It was unaffected by the flames as it adjusted its hood, tightly gripping its scythe as it made its approach to him.

It stepped over the ring of black skull-shaped smoke wisps on the ground. Jack's power ring, which although difficult to see had not vanished. 'Of course,' he thought, as he called the last of its power to him. With it, he didn't have enough energy to do anything but lie there in burning agony, or teleport to a safe location.

Hurriedly, he drew an item from his coat that was not fully damaged from the fires, and closed his eyes in concentration. The ring of unearthly smoke condensed around him, coating him like a blanket and dimming the fires on his body as he faded out of existence. The reaper quickened its pace to a run and grabbed for Jack with a ghostly yell, but its gloved hand grasped only air - Jack was gone.

"Better readjust your schedule, Fell," Was the last thing he had uttered to the reaper before he escaped the inferno, headed to some unknown location. Wherever he turned up, he'd be a sight to see - a half-charred living corpse that might have time to fully heal in a week.

The invisible reaper Fell cursed to himself and stared at the spot where Jack had just lain moments before. He had left an item on the ground, which was soon going to be completely eaten by the flames; but in the instant before he left, he had made it clear to Sabata and Django with his slight telepathic powers that the item was for them, if they could claim it in time. A simple black hourglass, with ashen sand drifting from the top chamber to the bottom. It still had lots of time before it'd stop.

OoC: Sorry if that ending was too long or seems a tad off topic. And sorry about being inactive as I was, though I'm surprised I was able to write that much just now. Pleasure battling with you, although I think you could improve yourself by adding a little more to your posts - they barely passed one sentence in length at times.

Get Jack's item and I'll explain its powers

Jack looked crossly at Forte, the only one who had even paid him a hint of notice.

Jack: "What, you're just going to have this staring contest here, but not allow anyone else to do anything for it? What's the point of even mentioning it, then? Like I'd care about some reploids otherwise..."

Jack brushed out of the crowd and took a seat at the far end of the bar. He didn't order anything, but just took to examining a ring of his under the red light.
