Back in the 50s, the US was going through the Red Scare, where a general fear of the Communists grew. Propogamda quickly spread, saying that Communists were godless heathens that didn't live properly. Because of all this fearmongering, suburban families were scared into being those stereotypes you know and might love. However, a proper outer appearance was essential, and any and all 'dirty' material (i.e. material with swearing, poop jokes, partial nudity) was seen as taboo. Those are all evil commie things.

Well, as time went on, our culture started to relax its grip around the balls of the media, and entertainment flourished. Eventually, we end up with what we have at the present time: An acceptance on TV of all but the 7 bad words: Shit, tits, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, motherfucker, and piss (Which is all allowed after 10 on broadcasted media). However, pressure from groups trying to uphold the 'family values' gtom the 50s still wdon't even want what we have now, and pressure people that can swear at any time (sattelite, cable) to only either do it late at night or not at all. Advertisers also play the 'family values' card by threatening to pull ads if the shows being broadcasted are too dirty.



tl;dr: There's assholes here taking away the fun from 98% of the country.

I made two Duffy animations into Straight-to-YTMND format, mainly because they're modeled after fads there.

Duffy, Huey, Louie, and Dewey all get Around was made for the 'Huey, Louie, and Dewey Get Around' fad that Iggy started.

Duffy Ruins GMan's Time was for the 'GMan is Having A Wonderful Time' fad, which had more ruined times than wonderful. I think this one is the Duffy I've put most work into, since it also involved me posing GMan in Garry's Mod. That's not to say my others aren't good. I love all my children equally.

It weighs fine, it looks fine, and feels fine as it is now. I'm not shelling out $150 more dollars to become a more dedicated Nintendo whore than I already am.


Way to pay attention to the price. It's going to be ~$145 USD over there, which usually means we're getting it a bit cheaper (Ir's ~16000 got the Lite, and the original DS went for 19800 yen). It's possible it'll still sell at $130.

Honestly, I haev a second DS I could sell to get this, plus a gift card, so I could nab this PLUS Metroid Prime Hunters. It would be most awesome.

A bit of info from a local Nintendo rep:

- The Power switch will be on the side, ala the GBA: SP. Yes, a switch.
- While it's coming out in Japan on March 2nd, it'll be announced here at E3. Sucks, I know.
