Because.

What the hell, DD, you haven't gotten any yet? I could've totally sworn that you said you did stuff (may not have been penetration, but...).

If I recall, he pleasures her, but she doesn't return any favors... which is bullshit.

But yeah, I waited 3 months for actual sex, and we were petting within the first month. We're both Catholic, did it stop us, hell to the no.

And sex isn't very important in a relationship in the long run, but when it's not happening, the pupils involved in the relationship start to become a little paranoid about the others intentions.

So... I've got a little question...

I've got a 32-bit register, say $t3, and I want to store, bits 17 through 5 in the least significant bits of another 32 bit register, in MIPS. Also, only using two instructions to performe this task (yes this is my homework).

What I'm thinking I can do is the following.

sll $t0, $t3, 15 #ridding myself of the bits in front of bit 17
srl $t0, $t0, 19 #moving over the 15 i shifted before
# and then 4 more to move bit 5 to the least significant bit

I think this is correct, but I'm not for sure. I just started taking this class and it's really giving me a run for my money (the recursive algorthms really kicked my ass)

Yeah, I'm sure they're are better ways of doing it, but given the limited number of instructions we've gone over this one made the most sense to me to do. At least it makes sense of me, the rest of the class can't even wrap their heads around the sll and srl commands. Out of curiousity neo, where do you go to school?

If you're running KDE, I would recommend Amarok... actually even if you were running Gnome I would recommend it, it's my favorite media player for linux. As far as DVD goes, I'm pretty sure I had totem-xine playing dvd's flawlessly...

If they release anything similar to what RC1 is like, I'm not touching it with a pole spanning from Nebraska to China, I'll just leave one partition with XP Pro, and the rest with various linux distros.

Oh, do tell what.

What linux distros I run???

Ubuntu
SuSE
Fedora
Whatever one I'm testing out at the moment (happens to be Arch Linux)

if that's not what you were asking for... then I don't know what you could be asking for, unless you wanted to know what RC1 is like, in which case, I'll tell you it's a resource hog and a piece of crap of an OS. Windows XP is resource intensive enough the way it is. Not that it matters. And I thought maybe the 64-bit support would come around... but I don't see that happening anytime soon (although it will probably come around for Windows first), my Athlon 64 is crying because he is not used to his full potential.

I'm guessing lots of Base 2 mathematical operations???

My math notes right now are with vector valued functions, and finding the derivatives of multiple variable functions.... fun stuff... Calc 3 is fun stuff I tell ya!

Me, on computer, I do homework, being a computer science major means most of my homework is done on this, I also work at a computer, doing webdesign. I also spend some free time on my computers installing various linux distros and doing various things.

The rest of my free time goes to Calc III homework, English homework (usually on computer), and doing my ... I mean doing stuff with my girlfriend.

Man... that's information I wouldn't like some random person on the internet to know... especially if my password is a sequence of numbers...

Grey likes i++, but what about n-1, I think n-1 makes for a much finer number.

And as far as my favorite constant number that would have to be... 37, it was my number in sports since I was like small... so yeah.
