You should prolly do like this:

$arg = preg_replace("@\[tag\](.*?)\[/tag\]@si", highlight_string("\\1"), $arg);

I've used @ instead of ' for no specific reason, I just like it better.

Anyways, the stuff in (.*?) will become \\1 not $1.

@cheveyo: This should work in both mozilla, ff, ie and opera:

filter: alpha(opacity=70);
filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(opacity=70);
-moz-opacity: 0.70;
opacity: 0.7;

The problem is that it affects the text too.

@danielle: Well GIFs are not capable of semitransparency.

@xk: The image is supposed to look like it was from some old DOS application or something. Which is why the colors are limited to 128 and it's pixelated.

Oh and extremely bad is an exaggeration.

But anyway. I had an idea, and it didn't work out. Back to the old one then.

I'll have to defend him there. I tried graphite and it was awesome. Blood though? I've tried, didn't like it. Might have something to do with that when I get nose bleed, it always bleeds so much that I'm nearly drowning.

Wow... This is just... awesome. But your art always is. There might be a little thing. I think the hands look a little weird, but maybe that's just me.

It sucks that some of your friends just disappeared. I mean, friends ought to cheer up eachother when feeling down.

At least you can express yourself through drawing. I wish I could.
