Well you know, It's incredibly offensive considering that he's not supposed to be drawn anyway.

Actually, there's nothing that specifically says he can't be drawn, it's just a rule that ended up evolving. The Koran says that "[Allah is] the originator of the heavens and the earth... [there is] nothing like a likeness of Him." That ended up being interpreted to mean that since there's nothing that can be considered a likeness of Allah/Muhammad, likenesses (like drawings) were forbidden.

Granted, the general sentiment is that people shouldn't be drawing these pictures, but that's also an Islamic belief. The Danish papers may be offending them by printing the cartoons, but they also don't fall into the confines of Islamic law; it's free speech.

I think most of us can agree that this incident is being taken WAY out of proportion by everyone involved, though.

asdf: That's legit if that's what you did; and to be honest, Kyouji, he could have spread them out as well and had the same effect. :\

We'll start with more money next time since being on the losing end at the start = huge disadvantage.

I liked decking Ailure right away in our final game though. XD

You don't need 1.5 to play online if that's what you're thinking, Traps - it's an applet.

If you do want 1.5 though... Google.

I still don't see what the big deal is. Again, I'm not saying they needed to do it, but the reactions around the world are making it a lot easier to take the side of the newspapers and of free speech.

I know that Islam is a peaceful religion, and I know that the majority of its members believe in peace... but this is not doing their religion any favors at all as far as public perception goes.

Yeah, WD itself is dead but it had a lot to do with them having translated games that Sony didn't want to release.

I mean, I understand about quality controls and all that, but you're telling me that Sony wouldn't rather release a decent strategy game or RPG game over some budget crap?

DOSBox is probably your safest bet for a lot of things, actually... I've been playing some SWOS recently on it at full speed.

The vast majority of DOS games I have seem to run on DOSBox, which at least still gives some of these floppies a practical use.

When you register, you pick your name/password.

When you join a game, you sign in with your name, password and GAME password. So say Hiryuu starts a game with the password "milly"... that would be the game password.

If I remember right, ours just say "Hot" on one line, then "Forte" on the second, and the mild ones simply say "Mild" on the first line, and "Piquant" on the second.

...In that case, I'm STILL puzzled as to why Taco Bell hasn't opened any Quebec locations yet if they already have the bilingual packaging sorted out. Ai ya.

I think that video game online stuff should be in General Gaming instead because more people view that forum and if you're trying to expand friend lists/organize tournaments, that's where stuff should go. Plus you can also talk about the game's offline aspects as well.

Now, PC stuff or solely-online console stuff should go here. :\ IMO.
