Yeah.

If you're wondering what this is all about, one of the guys on The Minibosses Board took it upon himself to re-edit the entire St. Anger album. His primary goal was to get it down under 25 minutes, and he speeds stuff up, reorders sections, and basically cuts James Hetfield out almost entirely to accomplish this. Unfortunately, he doesn't entirely get rid of the ridiculous amount of reverb on the drums.

Still, it's worth a listen.

I had what may be the weirdest DDR experience of my life last night.

Now, I was sick with a cold, and my PA is nothing to write home about to begin with. But yesterday in particular, it was awful--awful enough that I FC'ed a song (I don't remember which one, some Extreme [PS2] 6-footer) with a B. I had something like 96 Perfects and 87 Greats. On one song which I ended up failing, I had MORE Greats than Perfects. It was bizarre.

Would being sick throw off my timing that little bit that it would give me that many more Greats?

Yep.

In short, this thing with wrong-picture-to-wrong-name is just funny. The "Tellah is Edward's father" gaffe introduces a whole new element such that I'm SHOCKED it somehow got through.

The plot points as you need to know them:

Tellah is the father of a girl named Anna.
Anna and Edward are lovers, and Tellah doesn't particularly like this.

So if we add in the element that Tellah is also EDWARD'S father, while being ANNA'S father, and Anna and Edward are LOVERS....

Well yeah, it's clearly not intentional. I'm still shocked that it somehow made it through, though. Given the weird censorship that was put on that game (The Rosa-crushing Bowling Ball of Doom, "Lance of White", and others), that this...something (I'm actually tempted to call it a practical joke by the translator that somehow made it through...I'm not well-versed in Japanese, but I don't see how you mistranslate "Anna" into (What you named Edward) in the slightest.) got into the game.

FFII US is second only to Bionic Commando in the "what were Nintendo's censors smoking and can I have some?" department.

EDIT: Incidentally, wouldn't Pi(e) actually be Pi to the e power?
EDIT 2: Actually, I think I'm wrong on that last edit. Oh well.

Hmm. Faxanadu had a terrible translation, as I recall. I'd have to play through it again to see what you're saying though, as it's been awhile.
