That is exactly what I've been saying to other people that try to crap on Zizou. Ribery put one just inches past the post, along with rocking one into the upper deck when he had a clear shot. Henry had plenty of time in Italy's 18. Say Trezeguet makes his shot, and Barthez gets fingers on one of Itay's shots. Boom. Completely different storyline. Instead of disgrace, he gets respect for withholding his family's honor. |

| Well look at it this way. Unless Materazzi says what he claims he says, we need to take Zidane's word for it.
Also, by Materazzi not saying what it was, it, at least to me, suggests that it was something obscene and vulgar, and he'd much rather just parry with Zidane, rather than coming out with it. |

Truly a great loss to the crocodile hunting industry, which now has nothing, because Steve Irwin was the only one that anybody cared about.  just the other day I saw that Sportscenter bit that he was on. |

| Meh, A-Gon and Lowell were good in the short term, as in they did everything, and in Lowell's case, more, than what the Sox were looking for.
But as for Beckett...yeah, huge disappointment. Next year all these prospects that they traded are going to explode, and make the Sox look like idiots. This was their year to do it, but they screwed the pooch. |

| Whoa where's this scandal stuff coming from? I have a little yahoo page I look at that has headlines, but it has nothing on this.
I want to get a kit for my birthday, cause I mean for pete's sake I got a scarf. I'm gonna buy my own Lampard Euro away kit (all black, it's filthy), then maybe somebody like Juninho. A double aside, I think next year I'm going to study abroad in England, London specifically. How dope would that be? I would imagine season tickets are hard to come by though, right? PS: Does Lyonnais have some type of deal where they don't let other outlets sell their jerseys? Also, where is a reputable place for kits? I'm kind of weary with some of these places... | Yeah even Lehmann was talking about the need for more protection for goalies, although as a goalie myself I say it just comes with the territory. I was never afraid to come off my line, but I guess a cracked skull might change my view (literally).
Also, I don't see what kind of protection could be offered to keepers. What kinds of rules could they make...? |

| Yeah I picked up Grossman in my fantasy league and traded him before this game. I was deeply saddened to see that Leinart was picked up though.
Also note: futility award to Edge James and the Cards' O-Line. Totally anemic performance. |

| No doubt that was a sick shot, but did anyone else see/hear John Buccigross try to do highlights of that game?
For starters, he called Xavi by his full name, and I had to think for a minute, who the hell he was talking about. Then of course, even though Ronaldinho did slightly south of nothing that whole game besides this one pass, they show his little heel flick and go bananas. "JUST LOOK AT THAT TOUCH BY RONALDINHO, AMAZING SKILL." Nextly him saying Didier Drogba was also quite hilarious, but to hear him fumble over what to say when he shoots it was equally funny. Apparently nobody in the entire SportsCenter organization has seen a football match before, and the entire thing was butchered. |
