I just got home from my night out.
The rain stopped and I went to my old appartment and hung out with my ex-roomate and some friends.

I didn't have a lot of cash for fireworks but I got the hookup and between all of us we had some nice artillery. I had a couple or three beers. The cops came by and shut us down at 11 though, which was lame. But at least they didn't ticket us. They could have, since technically fireworks are illegal in this town. Just like liquor and fun are illegal here

We still burned things after that, just nothing loud. My ex roomie got quite a bit tipsy. He ad more whiskey than I'd ever want in a night but he handled it extremely well... until the neighbor came home with her 13 year old daughter and he said he'd like to.... yeah... way too loudly. Hehe. I'm sure she took it as a compliment though. She knows she's nice looking and teases all the guys in the neighborhood.

Anyway, I got to spend quality time with several people I don't see often anymore. I had some good barbecue. I blew things up and set things on fire. I have a nice stockpile of leftover fireworks. I'd call tonight a successful celebration.

She sounds pretty ...neurotic to me. It's all well and good to care about other people and about what they think of you... but that's just asinine. And if she doesn't care about you enough for anything like that to matter... to hell with it. She sounds pretty immature to me.

I'm not trying to be an ass, just calling it like I see it.

I hope it works out for you and everything turns out fine. But if it doesn't she's not the person you want to be with anyway.

I loved it.

...not for the plot or whatever (which I didn't think was bad) but just for the way it made me feel. I thought they did a good job of projecting that Superman represents Hope for mankind. I walked out of the movie thinking, "The world really does need a Superman."

I don't carry an mp3 player. I use a sony netMD minidisc player. I can fit about 6 cds worth of music on a minidisc and they are cheap as dirt. I like that I don't have to have a billion songs on one to scan through. And I like switching out the minidiscs. Not having all my songs on a bulk drive means I can have themed discs. And I get 54 hours of play out of a single AA battery... though that's not a deal breaker because I recharge all of my batteries anyway.

I just lost about 36 gigs of mp3 when my laptop died... *sadness*

They quit selling the metallic sparklers in my state. =(

No making them into bombs anymore. Plus, the ones they repalced them with are just the burn phase of a morning glory sparkler. So they don't even really sparkle. Suck.

Basically, Final Fantasy is just a name Square uses to sell thier latest games now. For whatever games have the biggest budget they get Nobuo Uematsu to do a score for. Then they throw in some FF flavor and slap the Final Fantasy name on the package.

VII was a good game. It was actually a breakthru in the genre. It had a pretty good storyline.

And it MADE the Sony Playstation. Almost everyone I know who bought a ps1 did so specifically to play FFVII. So most people would probably disagree with you and say it started going downhill when they botched FFVIII with that ridiculous plot twist near the end where they all knew eachother and forgot they knew eachother.

I understand peoples' concern, but we can't just crap our pants and puff up and flail our arms every time a country develops technology we don't want them to have. And people should keep an eye on things like this for sure, but there's no reason to spaz out. We can't live our lives in fear of everything that happens in the world. What's the point of living in constant paranoia? If something terrible is going to happen, being all panicky isn't going to make it any better.

North Korea officially having ICBMs isn't really a threat. What could possibly posess them to actually fire them at us in anything other than a world war type situation? That would spell the end for them. I don't think they're quite that stupid.
