Take away the paranthesis

Windows NT has a mechanism that can somewhat guarentee a certain letter or mount point for a specific device, but it's buggy for whatever reason. Of course, this is unrelated to Windows 9x.

I like PunBB for its effective simplicity. Well-written code too.

If it's purely done in .NET, there's a good chance it will work in Mono, thus running on most Unix-like OSes (including Mac OS X).

I say "Two thousand seven", though I guess we might start using the double-numbers again once 2010 comes around.

The free partitioning programs are often better anyhow, they have far fewer bugs prevaliant. I'd also recommend GParted.

Also, I doubt your "techie" knew what he was doing. OEM-provided recovery discs are only made for a single computer, since it pretty much copies a disk image to your hard disk; Windows pre-setup and everything. Most often, they even have a BIOS check to see if it's the intended computer or not.

On Sega's defense, YTMND's claim of "first admendment rights" is blatently false -- tell me, where in the first admendment does it grant the right to trademark and copyright infringement?

Well the first link had a crappy line of "Flash 8 required". Probably a lame video, knowing the blogs' craze at the moment. Then head onto the site, no details except "REGISTER". No thanks, don't even care.

Honestly, if I wanted everyone to know what I do, I'd set up a VNC server on my display.

At least Adobe has a better trademark than, say, Microsoft. Every time the courts start to question MS' trademarks like Office, Word, Windows, SQL Server, etc, Microsoft backs out of whatever the original case was anyway (usually about trademarks). Actually it's kind of funny.

I personally wouldn't bother with cracking a proprietary DVD player, just get VLC instead (unless a Windows port of Xine has shown up since I last checked, that'd pwn). The advantages would be that you wouldn't be restricted by DVD instructions to block certain functions (goto menu, skip, etc), and if your drive is region-free, VLC wouldn't care either (proprietary players tend to have their own restrictions even if you have an RPC1 drive).

Realistically, they very well could have no copyright laws in their own country, but what about other countries? It solves nothing when it'd still be illegal to import the data into your own native land.

Try port 6667, IRC servers don't usually operate on port 6669 unless you've read that Wii Cafe is different in this regard.

Because they say it's not a software issue. Kind of like how Enron said that they weren't in financial troubles.

It'd help a bit if you say what system it's for (I'm guessing NES?).

Oh, and this appears to be a release. I wonder what forum would be appropriated for _Releases_.
