As far as I'm concerned, fun is far more important than storyline. They could make a game where it turns out that Mario is a midget squirrel on an acid trip, and as long as it's fun, I'd play it. Of course, it'd screw the storyline up as far as it could go, but... Yeah.

As long as YI2 is more amusing than Yoshi's Story, it should be good. YS was largely hampered (in my eyes) by the requirement of playing 4 levels per playthrough...

I just have to wonder... Who the hell designed that Sigma fight? Who thought "jump in between 20 little reflecty thingies" was a good idea?

Still looked rather... insane. I don't know if I could EVER be that good.

(And yes, it was a team attack between X and Zero. I think you could also call on your helper to do a regular attack, as he did in order to escape Lumine's grapple.)

As it is, it's an easter egg and very obviously NOT a glitch. When did those become bad things?

Especially since very few people accidentally did it, what with the no-eggs-in-water thing and the fact that there's what, one log on the platform you could stand on?

(Of course, the first time I fought it, I killed it after it transformed by hopping and hovering out of the water, quickly firing eggs off while in the air. Not quite the most efficient way I could do it...)

It's not based on a heating system. It's based on a system in which heat is involved--meaning any system involving energy. Thermal energy is just as valid a type of energy as kinetic or potential, and is converted from kinetic energy by friction. It's also converted from electricity by resistance (hence why lightbulbs get warm--you probably already knew this part).

At any rate, as long as the friction force (no matter how trivial) continues to produce work on the system, energy will continue to be lost to heat. As energy is lost in such a manner, the rig will get closer and closer to finding its equilibrium point, at which it will simply stop. Magnets, no matter how many, will NOT introduce more energy into the system.

If the general public was the one that would determine things, SO much would be messed up right now. Gravity? What's that? Things fall because they want to, damnit!

Dwarf planet... Heh. Pluto always was the odd one out. Wasn't there a debate about whether it should qualify as a planet for a while now? I seem to recall theories about it being an escaped moon of Neptune several years ago.

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter too much how it's classified. Of course, if it's not counted, all of the old mnemonic devices don't work any more. Obviously, this will cause an unravelling of society as we know it.

It comes down more to training than manners. I doubt the cat really puts that much thought into being polite. Of course, all of them have their quirks... A couple of mine won't eat anything from people's hands, only off of the counter and whatnot. Of course, one of mine also will only eat cheese if it's a certain kind, but we think that's because her previous owner spoiled her prior to leaving her out in the hurricane to die.

And my cats only do the "dip paw in and then lick" thing with things they aren't supposed to be drinking--namely, unattended glasses of milk.

You're not a Waddle Dee. That starts at 10 posts, you're only at 7.

Naturally, I'm in the dark as to exactly what happened, same as always. I've gathered that Shadic made 100+ posts, and that the board went kaboom, but... Not much more than that. Also, HyperHacker failed to get a hamster fad going. While it's lamentable, it doesn't help much...

What kind of glitches? I can't say I've heard of things like that, and it works fine on my computers (one running 98SE and one on XP), so...

At any rate, The Kins has a good idea on the subtitle.

Otherwise, the screenshots look pretty good so far. Only thing I'd suggest is possibly adding another color to the title screen... Possibly a darker red, if the NES palette supports it. As it is, the top part of the name doesn't look the greatest.

EDIT: Sigh, layout still needs work.

Actually, I think to fix SuperLuigi's problem, he'd just have to explicitly define Luigi's height. Because the marquee loads before the image, it tries to shove Luigi into the same box that the broken image tag would be, so he gets stuck under the ground.

(In other news: This one's new, but the bugs aren't all ironed out yet... For some reason, long posts cause the bottom of the box to go outside of the post itself. It's probably just a stupid mistake somewhere in it, which I'll have to fix sooner or later.)

Guys? We're all missing the important part.

We should be celebrating the second birthday of someone who's on the board despite having apparently not been born yet, not mourning the fact that we'd all be old.

Bam, they've got this label on them for 6 years. This is Salem again, ugh.

Heh, Salem. That reminds me of the whole McCarthy thing about communism. One of the people he had labelled as a communist, Arthur Miller, still failed to get respect from his peers even 50 years after said event. People refused to clap for him since he was blacklisted as a communist, way back then, and eventually, it was proven wrong anyway.

Didn't he write the Crucible? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Either way, on the actual subject, I don't think I have anything useful to add... Everyone else has covered it well enough.

Dude... no. The cubic equation is not something you wish on people. Much less to have them post it on the board.

Juxtapose sounds useful. I'll take one.
