Looks like an awsome idea. Just so you know, Spellwerdzrite made a second fix to that Mario-Luigi Block status bar/block problem. Well here a quick preview of what I've got coming for SMB:TC2. No definate storyline yet, it will depend what I can or can't do with certain sprite and events. Same logic as the first game; Only 1 gigantic level in a castle. Just try and make it to the top to fight the main bad guy. This game however will have you collecting keys in order to get to him. Now for some screenies!




Title screen, in a beta stage right now.


Outside the castle. Also showing a new sprite.


Inside the castle. Don't expect much of a change gfx-wise through the levels. It just a castle for cry'n out loud..


Co-op mode makes a return! A whole new way to play the game when you select 2 players!




A bridge connecting to a second castle. Also shows how it gets darker outside as you progress though the game.


Its a huge boulder! Run away!


Just hang'n from a chain....

ah, maybe I should reword it a little. I have enough ideas, thats fine. I meant not to expect much change gfx-wise. Believe me, I have plently of ideas for the rest of it.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'll post a link to the first SMB:TC, once I fix a small bug in it that made it to the final version.

As for progress on this one, I'm a little less than half way though. Yeah the wall jump idea in the last game was pretty cool but it was way to glitchy. I didn't use them in this game what so ever because of that, but you will find the jump blocks and boost blocks separate.

I think I know the part you are talking about, but you aren't suppose to go that way in the 2 player mode. Anyways, I fixed the bug. You can download SMB: The Castle from the attachment below or from the "SMW Central" site in the hacks section (but that one is the older version and won't be updated for the next couple of days. Just stick to the attachment for now ).

Lemme know of any other bugs in that game, although I believe a smached them all.

First off I am very excited about this hack. I've been waiting for this game which seems like forever. But I'm am a little pissed you decided to post a trailer, but no screen shots. I am unable to enjoy the trailer because to the low specs of this crappy computer I am forced to use. Any chance of posting any SS?

The site is still there, it just seems to give the 401 error anytime you view the site when logged in. Which doesn't allow you to much of anything except look, so its not like your missing much. If you need to download something from there, just let me know in this thread for now and I'll post it as an attachment.

Until then, this is all the help I can give.

Sweet. I was actually looking forward to BlockTool Omega, but this will work in the mean time.

But since I'm lazy and don't feel like moving blocks around, can I keep the blocks I do have in its original place, and just start putting the new ones within the 0xF00 - 0xFFF range without any problems?

I had almost forgotten I actually made a thread here. Time for a refreshing update!


New Title screen. Should be final unless I say otherwise.

Updated the colors a bit and Mario...Also, the final version of the status bar, finally fixed the damn thing..

New updated castle gfx. Also showing small Mario's "taunt".

Part of the Lava Sector in 2 player mode.

[Outdated gfx] Here just to show Yoshi plays an important part in this game.

Get rid of the roto-disc sprite and try re-installing it. I know the thing works because I've seen it in other hacks. Do you have any other patches applied to this game?
