Grey: "Unlike most of the Sim Battling Community..."

Grey appeared from literally nowhere behind Zero, hoping to rouse him.

"...I hardly ever sleep."

There was a loud crackling noise as Grey turned the special effects on for a few seconds. Fireworks exploded over Zero and Grey, searing through the open dome of Sim Battle Arena G and signaling to all that happened to be awake at this hour (about 4 AM eastern time) that there was about to be an epic battle. Grey the Wishmaster had figured it was time to rock someone.

"Your wish has been granted, good sir."

Still wrong, but you're getting closer.

What are the actual beginnings of gold and silver, and how would you give them to a victory?

Grey: "Eh, I guess there's really nothing to do but..."

He breaks out a huge grin, and a disco ball comes down from the ceiling of the arena as he busts out some mad moves, inciting everyone around him to do so.

"EVERYBODY MAMBO!!!"

The end result?

Kirby, Marth, Ice Climbers. In a pinch I can also slice through people with Fox and Luigi, too.

Kirby, because even though they nerfed him, he's literally unkillable unless your opponent manages to slam you so far out of the arena that you CAN'T get back in because you've already exploded, and also because usually stealing attacks from people proves beneficial to me (particularly when my roomies play as Captain Falcon or Fox).

Marth, because there's really no reason why not to. And every good part of him's already been mentioned.

Ice Climbers, because my roommates said they suck and I wanted to prove them wrong one day, so I crushed them both with them. You'd be surprised at how powerful one lone Ice Climber is.

Fox's speed makes me giggle, and that little teleport strike is great when you need to get out of a bad situation. Couple it with the Reflector and you have a combo of a pair of powerful attacks that work great defensively.

And Luigi's just fun to play with. Plus he has that badass aerial Karate Chop.

Grey took his hand. He wasn't entirely aware of the physics behind shaking hands with a being that was supposedly composed of pure data, but rather than dwell upon the prospect, Grey pushed the thought out of his mind, remembering that he had seen stranger things.

"It's good to meet you, Mr. Zero. From what I hear, your commander requires only the best performance from his subordinates. I feel honored. I believe you wanted a match?"

I would have to agree here and that why hes top tier along with sheik and fox.

I would go with PEACH. She is very hard to learn playing with. Once you learn how to use the "whorenado" (d-smash) and do float cancel and how to use her butt you are fine. Some
wave dashing and turnip toss is fine too. If you are learning dont use peach's toad or peach bomber to attack, thats pretty n00b and dont work at all. Peach counter is ganon so try to have some space between you and him. lol

Useless fluff move.

Grey spread his arms and raised his head, signaling for Zero to look around him...

Grey: "You're in one now... Welcome to Sim Battle Arena G. As you can see, it's the last of our seven arenas, one of the smaller, but also advantageous because it is an open dome. This allows for fast-paced aerial fights, or lots of flashy special effects, depending on your mood. It's also currently the only one NOT being used right now..."

He sighs at this last statement, everyone else was busy and here he was, bored stiff.

"It comes with the standard issue marble flooring, not easily breakable and hard enough to withstand most attacks that aren't designed specifically to break things. We've got quite the insurance policy towards these floors too, Shadow Sam himself crafted them originally. I just kinda stole the design."

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH will always be my favorite children's book.

I also enjoy Fox in Socks.

Moving on, I enjoy Neil Gaiman's American Gods and Good Omens, as well as a vast majority of the Redwall novels, the Narnia books, the third Harry Potter book above the others, Tolkien reads like a fucking bore, the Hitchhiker series is good, and I also enjoyed the Red Dwarf novels.

I'm not much of a fan of John Steinbeck or Stephen King or John Grisham or any of those other current authors, they seem very, very bland in comparison to the fantasy/science fiction novels I usually read.

I also like George Carlin's style in the comedy books he's written.

Terry Pratchett is a genius, primarily for his books Mort, Sourcery, and Hogfather.

As for plays, I enjoyed Hamlet over most of Shakespeare's other stuff, as well as The Importance of Being Earnest from Oscar Wilde, The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail from an author I can't remember, and Much Ado about Nothing as one of the few other Shakespeare works I enjoyed.

And that's about it. I've read a lot of books. Those are some of the stickouts.

Never, ever, ever read Toni Morrison's Beloved.

OOC: JD, I got permission for this.

Grey: "Enjoy your dream?"

From Bel's, Draco's, Sky's, Forte's, hell, everyone's perspective, the image of the destroyed Dragon Tank melted into nothingness, cracked, shattered. There was a bright flash of light, a piercing screech as everyone was brought back to reality. Grey cracked his knuckles as he stood before the group and the tank lay behind him, its head severed from its steel neck.

The party's hypnosis had been broken with the sound of the metal ripping...

"I had a feeling some of the... hastier members of our little hunting party might try to go for the kill. I didn't want the Emerald damaged if it WAS inside the tank, so I figured I'd keep you all occupied while I disposed of it myself."

He grinned as his glasses flashed in a mischievious lens flare. Everything they had seen after Smithy had thrown the mech was nothing more than a cheap parlor trick. PK Hypnosis O worked pretty well even on a robot...

Grey looked at Sky and motioned towards the headless mech.

"And now, Sky? Will you do the honors?"

Grey: "Sonic Boom? Huh, that only takes away 20 HP... Damn set-damage attacks. No chance for a crit, or even a super-effective hit."

While he's contemplating Zero's move, he nonchalantly waves his hand in a tornado shape, using his telekinetic powers to generate a whirlwind in front of him that blows in the opposite direction of Zero's Sonic Boom. The two blasts meet and cancel each other out, as Grey continues thinking.

"So, let's see... He's got a sword, and I've heard of these Net Navis having busters and stuff, and those battle chips. I don't really got much that can combat that."

Grey reaches into his back pocket and pulls out his trusty Yo-yo...

Grey: "Ok, so."

He placed his fingers to his forehead and lifted a few feet off the ground, watching the electric waves pass beneath his feet.

"Explain something to me. PK Psi Shield Beta!!!"

As he floated into the air, Grey became surrounded by a barrier of pink-purple light, designed not just to block energy-based attacks but deflect them, so long as the man maintained his concentration. Once that was broken, well, he was wide open.

"That attack, if I recall correctly, has a special effect that happens 2/5 of the times it hits me. But here's the catch: How do we determine when it works?"

The mind game begins...

Grey: "Mudamudamudamudamudamudamudamudamudamudamudamuda!!!!!!!"

Continuing his Japanese-Disco-Ninja-Fighter-Jojo's Bizzare Adventure assault, Grey Roundkick 2's the Magikoopa repeatedly, performing an out-of-place ballet move in his already awkward but frighteningly efficient Mambo party.

Janus: "Void Crush!!!"

As Kalar and Garro jumped away from Star, each taking a separate member of the already furious assault party with them, Janus extended his hand towards the futuristic madman. Satchel suddenly appeared from out of nowhere in it, a glistening dark blue glow surrounding him. Janus leapt high into the air, towards the clouds that formed above Star in the sky. His hammer began exhibiting a Gravity Well-like force as it attracted a massive amount of the matter around it. Once in the middle of the clouds, Janus whirled around in the air, turning the thunderstorm into a tornado that sucked into Satchel as Janus hung suspended above Star. He hurled his hammer straight downward, the power of the Void giving it deadly force. Whether it hit Star or hit the ground, the matter that had gathered inside of the hammer-well jarred enough that it blew outward, causing a massive antimatter explosion!

Janus landed on the ground and called Satchel back to him, immediately beginning to summon more Void energy as the deep purple glow overtook him again.

Grey: "Gah!"

Grey's just a normal human! Attacks like that, despite what the previous post implied, would most definitely crush his skull.

"No, no! You misunder---"

Fwoosh! Zero zoomed toward him as the strings of Grey's yo-yo flew outward. Completely forgetting about his shield for the time being, Grey had JUST enough time to stiffen the wires of his combat toy as the initial swings came upward. The string bent inward as Zero struck upward, and Grey propelled himself behind Zero with spring-like force, using Zero's power against him and dodging just barely out of the way.

He didn't have much time to set up a counter, though, as the overhead swings came crashing down on him. The wire flew upward again, and each beam-sabre hit sent Grey skidding further backwards under the pressure of his own weapon. Backpedaling a few feet, Grey whipped the Yo-yo around. This time he was ready.

As the thrusts came forward, Grey's weapon whipped outward, tying itself around Zero's arm as Grey himself leapt to the side. Zero jumped away from his Giga Attack, and Grey grinned as the nearly unseeable toy's strings expanded outward. Grey yanked, attempting to throw Zero off-balance as he pulled the Yo-yo back to himself.

"Now, as I was saying, you misunderstand. I mean statistical stuff. Like, for real. How do you know that the effect is gonna be caused? Do you roll a ten sided dice on your desk or something? Take 1-4 as hits and 5-10 as misses? I don't like relying on stuff like that when I don't actually have a die at the ready..."
