Hah. I never beat that level in my life without using a Blue Yoshi to eat the Koopa for wings.

It is a P switch, but FuSoYa had a really strange habit of not giving sprites their proper names, like the Fire Flower, Koopa Troopa, Fire Mario, Podobo, Cheep Cheep, Concrete Block, and so on.
Seriously though, how can you confuse cement and concrete?

Wait, but aren't some of those sprite names actually right? I mean like the Fire Flower. It's called something else? And I thought that Fire Mario was supposed to be called Firey Mario or something of the sort. Cheep Cheep, that's what that flying fish is called, right?

Man, I wish I would have joined this board 6 years ago. Maybe then I would have turned out to be a more decent SMW hacker.

Anyway, happy (late) b-day, board. xD

Dude, are you even paying attention?
Of course it's fake. I put it there.

That reminds me. I am almost to completion. All I need now is to find out how to maybe make duplicates of the existing powerup routines, so Firey and Caped Mario can still exist. Potentially having Laser Mario on slot 04.

Here we have the powerup sprite.

This is what it looks like stationary.

In movement. As you can see,

Jetpack! ^^

There is his mighty laser shot (or whatever the hell it looks like). I tried to make it look electrical.

Here's me showing Super Koopa who's boss.

This is what happens when they get hit.

Download

I encourage anyone and everyone to try it out.
Just make sure you don't use it. I've decided not to publicly distribute it, because I want it to be my trademark. (I couldn't find a better word xD)

Anyway, what happens if you hit, let's say, Lemmy Koopa? Does he just fly back really far, or just the same thing as a regular fire flower?

Don't you think you're exaggerating a bit? There was no ASM involved in this powerup.

SMAS graphics are overused because they are good. I'd say they are a google times better than SMW's graphics. Good hack, Pac. Kudos to you.

But as I said, thanks for the feedback.

Yes, you're making this hack, you can decide what ExGFX to put in or not, but just ignore Xk.

To Xk: What the hell has this matter anything to do with the criticize of Mona Lisa? Yes, SMAS GFX is overused now, but IT IS NOT A PIECE OF SHIT, AND DON'T FORGET NOT EVERY HACK USES SMAS GFX! THERE'S STILL LOTS OF PEOPLE USING ORIGINAL SMW GFX, THEN WHY DON'T YOU SAY THAT SMW GFX IS OVERUSED?

Whoa, cool it, bro. Xkeeper has the right to say what he wants, but Pac still has the right to take it into consideration or not.

It doesn't matter what Xk said, because Pac already stated that he doesn't care who thinks the graphics are overused.

Geez. That tutorial is stupid. I bet I could make something better. For example, when I drew my Laser Suit, I used Solid colors as if it were for NES, then I shaded. This tutorial just skips around, and doesn't even show you how to actually draw the sprites.

Now that is ONE great ass-kicking Mario. Cool edit. Nice job on those ExGFX, too. I like the POW block. bd
