I wasn't saying you shouldn't have gotten the inexpensive one you have now. That's definately the way to go if you've never played. I'm talking your next guitar. Save up the extra couple of hundred dollars and go for something that'll last you longer.
If you're into death, you should look into models that either have a fixed bridge or a trem that you can lock down. I play an SG with the innards ripped out and replaced. I hate gibson's rhythm/treble switch and tone knobs. And I hate humbuckers. But I love the look and the fixed bridge. I'd rather be playing an Ibanez but I'd have to lock down the tremolo and that'd take all the fun out of it |

Why bother with bottle rockets? They have little kick and are only sold twice a year. Go to Wal-Mart and buy model rocket engines. My friends and I got mobbed by cops one night because we apparently scared the hell out of a mexican family.
The tools? Rocket engines A 100 foot extension cord, cut and separated at one end (the launcher) Snap-together model cars A shitload of electrical tape plastic bulbs filled with gunpowder. Yeah, these things blew up when the recovery stage of the rockets fired Fun We played it dumb and put on our redneck accents (we're from the styx and fluent in redneck, hick, and unintelligible Southern rambling.) Apparently it's illegal to use fireworks within city limits. We just let them believe we were shooting bottle rockets. Seemed like the thing to say at the time. I have to add something else to this thread.
Some of you may not know it, but Wolfman does in fact have nards. Monster Squad kicked all kinds of ass. |

umm... if you set the fine tuning knobs on a locking trem correctly when you tune up in the first place you shouldn't have to unlock the nut to drop d, just do it on the fine tuning knob. Takes a few seconds.
Locking nuts are a pain in the ass though and I generally leave them off and just lock down the trem. |

Good for you... keeping a level head. I think in that situation I might have picked up something heavy and ended up in jail for killing some scumbag fuck. I tend not to value the lives of people I deem unfit to share my atmosphere.
*edit* Ok, that's a bit extreme. I'm in a better mood and don't want to throw bricks at rednecks anymore Everything I said above was bullshit, but my point was that I probably would have fought instead of doing what you did. (edited by Kasdarack on 07-03-06 12:39 AM) |

I bathe or shower in the wee hours of morning pretty often if I feel like relaxing or reading a book or whatever.

Actually, the chord letter alone is usually understood to be the major with no special flavor thrown in. If it's diminished or minor or whatever it'll say. I assumed he meant A maj, etc. so his notation wasn't really incorrect.

I wouldv'e ignored it. If your boss is like my last boss she wouldv'e been pissed but there's nothing she could do about it. I will cover shifts if the person who needs the shift covered asks. I will not cover shifts if the boss asks unless I really need the money.
Not answering means you don't have to lie. |

I've gotten seriously stuck several times. You know what I did? I looked around painstakingly until I found the path to the next area. It's usually obvious. Last time it was a RED DOOR.
I felt pretty dumb about that one and had to chuckle at myself. Seriously though. Lorisamus, pretty much every question you've asked has already been answered in this thread. And if you want to enjoy the game at all, look for stuff instead of automatically posting to ask what's next as soon as you get an item. |

My net's not broken, just agonizingly annoying. It hiccups constanty. My cable provider just got bought out and they're having major issues. Sometimes it's hard just to post.
Guess this means switching back to DSL again. |

Last time I went to Florida with my dad(he has his District Attorney seminars there) the place we stayed had a bigger than HUGE bathtub with jets. It was so wonderful. My book and I monopolized that bathroom every night after I came back from the beach.
*edit* typos. Sentence fragment left as it was. Sue me. (edited by Kasdarack on 07-03-06 11:12 PM) (edited by Kasdarack on 07-03-06 11:12 PM) |

Dry heat isn't so bad. It's the humidity that kills me. Hard to breathe in thick air. Louisiana has only one really good season, and that is autumn. I love the fall. Spring is too noisy and overpollenated. Summer can get pretty ugh. Winter is not bad because I get to wear my winter clothes, which are infinitely more spiffy than summer clothes. Unfortunately our winters have been nonexistant for the last few years, and the leaves pretty much go from green to on the ground overnight. So no pretty fall colors.
*edit* Somehow I forgot to type half of one of my sentences. (edited by Kasdarack on 07-03-06 11:18 PM) |

NG Evangelion
Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal OVA Trigun Last Exile X Sakura Diaries Cowboy Bebop Vampire Princess Miyu TV and OVA GITS SAC 1st gig Lain Utena movie Naruto up until the filler Chrono Crusade FLCL I haven't finished several of those. I just don't get into heavy anime watching mode like I used to. If I power watch anything now it's usually seasons of tv shows like 24 or Scrubs or something. Maybe the anime bug will bite again at some point *shrugs* |

I haven't planned anything or picked up any fireworks. My bro and sis are leaving for home tomorrow.
I did pick up a bottle of jagermeister and a bottle of barenjager. I was at the liquor store getting beer for the family get together we had the other day and I wasn't gonna get anything else. Then I saw barenjager and since it's hard to find around here I impulse bought it. Then I had to get the jagermeister too because I've never had a killer bee and I'm a sucker for layered shots. I'll probably save those for my birthday later this month though. The Fourth should be properly celebrated with beer and fire, not liquor. Sadly, I think most of my people will be out of town or working, but I might grill out and blow a few things up anyway. |

Around here liquor pretty much means HARD liquor. Beer is in a separate category due to its low alcohol content.
In the town in which my university is located, hard liquor can't be sold by the package but beer can be. They've recently passed a law that allows restaurants (yes, prepared food sales are the key requirement) to sell liquor by the drink. It still can't be sold by the package.
