US loses 7-3 to south korea. They are just 1-1, but could have been 0-2 if it weren't for the reversed call...

anyways, pretty much every one else is 1-1...

Sony is really pushing Blu-Ray so I guess they want to get it right or at least make it so insanely complicated that it won't be worth it to try to beat the system? Although I know there are individuals who will try.

I'm probably going to hold of getting the first gen PS3 and wait for a few revisions before buying it.

Any word of when Nintendo is going to release the next gen?

guessing you have SP2, you need to find a hacked uxtheme.dll or some file that is named along those lines to install external themes. Although, if you have a program such as styleXP or windowblinds, that should be taken care of.

The point of that is that I have lots of time to learn from my mistakes, but here we only have 3 strikes until you're gone and out for the count. It's a general principle that people adopt as a successful breeding method, but fails in the end.

What would happen if real life was like that?

the problem is, the world is like that. At least between strangers. You have only so many chances in a system. If you botch them all, it gets ridiculously harder and harder to get more. There are times complaining will get you stuff, but it is all dependent on situation and the leverage you have. If you have little leverage like here, complaints isn't going to get you far. However, if you are a consumer complaining to a business, then you have some leverage to get change. Unless there is a mass exodus from the board, change probably isn't going to happen. But probably if there is a mass exodus, the board is better of disappearing than having the rules fixed to please the few.

I recently got a new Dell Laptop (Inspiron E1505). Laptop is great except my 40GB HD has only 31GB of available space. What happened to the remaining space? The remaining space is divided into unmounted partitions (a EISA Configuration partition and ~4.37GB Partition according to window's logical disk service). The EISA Configuration and the ~4.37GB partition are linked as Dell documentation says those partitions are my means of restoring my new laptop to original factory conditions (i.e. my laptop did not come with CDs to restore the laptop to original factory conditions)

My questions are as follows:
1) Is there anyway for me to save the data from those two partitions with some program?
2) Is it even worth it for me to save the original factory software?
3) Other than losing the ability to restore the laptop to original factory conditions, is there any other harm in losing the EISA configuration partition (i.e. voiding warranty etc)

Thanks for the advice.

I eventually found a very informative page that described how the newer Dell machines are setup. I followed the steps and extracted all the data off the hidden partitions. Dell's approach is good for people who aren't computer savvy but I don't belong there. I wish I could save Dell's MBR info but I really don't need the bar that says "www.dell.com" for 2 seconds.

php.net is your reference best friend; it is one of the best documented reference books I've seen.

As for project ideas, building something like this (a microsoft outlook look alike) would be a significant project. It depends on what exactly you want to get out of PHP other than just to know how to use it.
