ClamAV works pretty well; there's also F-prot, and if you want to pay money McAffe has a Linux version too.

the Nintendo WiFi Connector works on OpenBSD 4.0, to be released Nov 1, 2006. It'll be the first operating system besides Windows XP to support the device.

You're running a virus checker, do you expect it to simply skip over most of the files? Maybe Norton would do that, but seriously

It's perfectly fine to use the power adapter while using the DS, I do it all the time.

Mine does that, so I never charge it when I'm sleeping, else I'm annoyed all night and I'll have a headache.
And... this isn't the 80s anymore, you don't need to fear overcharging recharable batteries anymore, they have built-in safeties against it. |

ahhhhhhh I would hate to take your class. Why exactly did you feel the need to sign up for it anyway (much less, pay for it)? Could've learned most of it simply by comparing it to HTML4.01 (<html>, <head>, <body> are required in XHTML; almost all styling tags/attributes are removed; redundant or useless tags removed; etc)
He should be fired for stupidity. |

They've probably got some new mechanism (spacial volume detection seems plausible, but the Wii would need to know exact details about your TV size, location, where the Wii is from the TV, etc) to detect hits. If you ever try to play Duck Hunt/NES on a plasma or LCD television, it can't be done.. back in the 80s, they just exploited how CRTs draw their picture (thus the quick flash of white).

IE7 has so far has over IE6: proper PNG support, position:fixed;, background-attachment:fixed;, :first-child, (partially) selectors, :hover, the box model, :auto, overflow:visible;, ShrinkWrap, !important, and empty elements. This isn't that much compared to the other 40 rendering problems that IE6 has, and it isn't much at all to make web pages more flexible.
A UI update doesn't make a decent browser. Get over yourself. |

Also funny, I don't use Linux |

hmm, this tool might be useful, but I don't entirely get how useful it could be; besides finding swear words.

Closed for high impractability. You're better off hacking each game individually.

And what reasons are you thinking? I've always been curious exactly, Windows-users always talk like the other operating systems are somehow "bad" or "not as good", yet I never fully understood that thought process. Trade-off? I haven't traded much at all for using this operating system; possibly, it's not quite as supported in the emulation/ROM-hacking scene as Windows is, but that's mostly the developers of emulation and hacking tools' fault for supporting vendor lock-in.
I started using OpenBSD because I grew tired of Linux; always pushing forward, little care in fixing existing features. Though you use the term "alternative OS" as if Windows were the "primary OS"; in truth, I used OpenBSD as an alternative to Linux (this is of course very person-specific; some people might in fact pick it as an alternative to Windows, or other operating systems (I suppose it'd be possible to use obsd as a first operating system, though I imagine it's unlikely)). Glyph: Ah, I am not surprised you expected me to use FreeDOS. Actually, my username is stuck from a very old fad on Acmlm's, I liked the name better than plain Mike, so I decided not to have it changed back (and then the plus was added because of something Xkeeper did to have everyone who visted a certain page have + suffixed to their name; I never took the time to as it to be changed back, plus it somewhat differenciates me from the operating system). I had FreeDOS 1.0 installed to my hard disk about a week ago, it lasted three days. It was a nice novelty OS, but I wouldn't use it primarily; plus DOS is just weird... I'm used to Unix-like OSes. Guy Perfect: the Mozilla Application Suite is officially discountinued, not even security updates are to be made anymore. The Foundation has recommended those who preferred to instead move onto SeaMonkey (edited by FreeDOS + on 10-12-06 09:49 PM) (edited by FreeDOS + on 10-12-06 09:53 PM) |
