Sigmund stepped a few steps forward, and closed his eyes. Behind his wrinkled lids, the wurm glowed in a faint image, almost like some kind of infared image... "All righ'... Lessee if'n I still gots it in me..." Sigmund's hunched, feeble back creaked and groaned as it straightened like an iron bar. The sound of the air bubbles in his spine popping and cracking was like bubble wrap, muffled only by his thin skin and surrounding vestaments. He twisted his neck from side to side, crackling and groaning the entire time he readied his bones for what could possibly be an earth-shattering maneuver. "Ah, forget the cinematics 'n all that." Yeah, I agree. This is really just excessive. I mean, you're an old man. That enough says something. "Righ', I am! An' don' you forget it! Makin' me go through all that..." Sorry. Look, can you just do your thing so we can get on with the story? "Yeh, yeh, I'm gettin' on it..." Right, then. I'll just get back to my job... Sigmund straightened up, and suddenly squatted his legs and took off high into the sky, like some sort of demented, wrinkly lancer! He somersaulted over and over again, and his robes and tunic caught the wind beneath him as he began his descent. He shifted himself in the air, whipping around so that his feet were facing outward as he curled his body into what looked like a jacknife dive, but was actually a crushing heel-drop! A semblance of ki energy gathered around his sandaled appendage, and as he connected with the giant wurm, it reared back in anguish! "Half Truth!!!" Sigmund bounced off of the wurm to the back row of the fight again, and glanced upward to admire his work. The wurm hissed and roared, and expelled blast after blast of harmless mist, but in the end was still standing. "Still alive, eh? Well, yeh're not gonna be fer much longer..." |

Grey's voice came from all around... No set location in particular. Rather, a disembodied accompaniment to Jack's delusions. The warrior advanced forward, still faceless and still consumed entirely in darkness. There was a cackle, a surge of laughter, and the being disappeared... "Do you see yet, Jack? You're what's not real in this place. Images only I can imagine, the vision of Janus as I see him? Have you not figured out where you are?" The being reappeared beside Jack, a testament to its untrackable speed... "You're inside of my head. It's a psychosis technique. I dove into your consciousness the moment you first spoke to me. From there, it was easy to make you think that I was messing with your own head... When in reality, I was just placing bits of your consciousness inside of mine. All of the damage you've taken and all of the pain I've suffered is completely imagined -- my expected reactions to what I believe you would do. There's one to wrap your head around: Who's the one doing the thinking here? For all you know, I might be controlling every action you take. That's your new goal..." The being raised its hammer, and disappeared again, this time reappearing in a bushido stance behind Jack, having swung horizontally at him in the process. Whether or not he hit might be up to Jack, and his ability to think fast enough to move out of the way... ...But then again, it might just be Grey making him think he was moving that fast... "You've got to figure out who's really controlling things around here. Get your own free will back, and you'll have beaten me. At least, in this case you will. Maybe then we can fight in a more corporeal sense."

Evan: "The hell's he doing here...?"

The hulking warrior adjusted his visor-like sunglasses as he pulled his hood tigher around his head. Adorned in a form-fitting leather suit that effectively concealed every inch of his skin, Evan stalked back to the temple where he waited, knowing eventually that either Shen or that man would come back to him. Shen had established this place as their meeting point for whenever she had sensed a Master Emerald shard that she could not herself retrieve. It was then that she called him. Until then, he lay in wait. Unfortunately, Evan was also very territorial. For fear of someone taking the shards he posessed already, he liked to make darn sure that no man trespassed on the property that he had claimed as his own some months before. But Sky? Sky was different. Sky had appeared when the situation was most dire. Sky had appeared when the Trinity split. Sky always appeared when you least expected him to. Evan didn't like the unexpected... He crept up to where Sky was standing, and kept his distance. There was no way he was gonna get in a fight if he didn't have to.

Sigmund hobbled up to Cedric. There was no use at all trying to hide in here. If there was one person on the entire island better than Sigmund at sneaking around, it was him. And that included finding other hidden buddies. "So why didn' yeh let me know it was you back at the town? Surely yeh recognize me, don' yeh?" He poked Cedric in the head, hoping his old friend would realize... "I ain't lookin' that old now, am I? Remember? Three years ago, yeh was just a weer lad than yeh are now... We were all a lot younger back then! Especially me..."

It's a "Half Circle back" on the controller... Basically, it's forward, down/forward, down, down/back, back. A lot easier to do with a joystick than a controller, but not as easy to chain into other moves.

You execute it by rolling your thumb from the forward button down across the down button and then to the back button. I much prefer it to half circle forward moves, which is pretty much the opposite, start from back, move to forward. A lot easier to execute. (edited by Grey on 03-15-06 11:06 PM)

Sigmund followed closely behind Cedric. The boy had nearly slipped the bill there on him. Why so much emphasis on his age? He had already proven that his condition had only drawn from a portion of his former youthful strength. "So, yeh're gonna help us now that yeh know what we're doin' here, right?
