Looks fine in IE, looks like hell in Seamonkey (Mozilla successor). Don't have lololol installed right now or I'd check in that too... but I imagine the result would be similar to seamonkey. Basically in Seamonkey there is a LOT of vertical stretch going on with your images.

edit: judging by YD's reaction it probably also looks fucked up in Safari .

I had to replace my heatsink paste recently. The original stuff I bought was white, from Radioshack. By a year later, that was eaten up. I then invested in Dynex silver thermal compound and I haven't had a problem in a month. It might be the quality of your paste, or the quality of the spread you did. Just make sure there is a well defined square of paste on the heatsink and it is thick enough to provide a transfer on the whole area of where the proc and the heatsink come together.

Failing at that, I'm a bit alarmed that your power supply is making noises before the computer is even turned on. I've never heard of that. Find out what BIOS your mother board uses and research what the different types of beeps mean. This is extremely helpful in diagnosing hardware problems and has gotten me out of two very confusing binds. I can't remember off hand if 94 degrees C is really hot but it doesn't seem too hot to the point where it would cause serious problems.

I'm posting here not so much to ask if people think my layout is good, b/c it's hardly a layout at all. I just want to make sure no one has an extreme problem with it. The one thing I can think of is the fact that it is white and the board schemes are predominantly dark. That might annoy some people, and I could invert the colors I suppose. Obviously it's supposed to look like an .asm file used by a romhacker to patch an SNES game or NES game. I recently got off my lazy ass and added the CSS I needed to change my link, alink, vlink, and hlink colors to override the board scheme.

Question though, I've seen some users say it is better to have externally hosted CSS. But I've heard some browsers, lololol in particular, will delay loading the rest of the page if it can't find this CSS file, which annoys the hell out of me. I've definitely had some people's layouts slow down my fun posting experience. So I went with internal CSS just to avoid that problem, but are there any drawbacks?

edit: bah this looks bad but I didn't break the tables. I just posted in another thread with no problem.

Or it could end up smaller if the compressor is more efficient... that's the upside many people don't always think about.

No offense, but it's not considered normal. Now maybe if you were a strict christian (or other religion) and were brought up a certain way I wouldn't be surprised, but in the secular mainstream it's not normal.

Cool, I kept trying to find a way to create some perpetual looping motion but I gave up after about 15 minutes. I got the little guy to fling over to the left, then over to the right, then back to the left, but he gets stuck there no matter what I've tried.

The only thing I guess I'd like to see changed with your layout is a smidge more padding around the edges.

Otherwise it's good. Simple.

By padding do you mean white space at the top and bottom? (In the coding sense. my bg is black now)

Or did you mean padding between the fixed text part of the layout and my actual post. One thing that might help is to convert the fixed text portion to images. It would also help with the ;******** portions since they could then be tiled to fit the width of the post.

I think it would be nice to be user slectable. Some days I looking at the huge 100-200 different links to the ATS thread, and some days it just pisses me off .

I don't really think it matters much in the long run though.

The Forest Temple theme from Zelda: OoT has a way of wracking my nerves after a while. It's not like I'm scared, but it makes me very uneasy after about 2-3 hours of playing the game. I think it unnerves me b/c the music almost sounds like someone laughing at you.

You do realize, ||bass, that if I took your last post and replaced "democrat" and "left" with "republican" and "right" there would be no fundamental change in content, right? I mean, I know you want to express your opinion about leftists, but generalizing a whole end of the political spectrum is not at all contributing to the debate. At the same time, this board's forum has a leftist bias, so I can't really blame you for getting pissed off too much.

The irony is that when you say things like "Leftists are closeminded", you yourself look closeminded .

Tetris used to do this to me. Not so much anymore. SMK's Rainbow Road has been known to get me going, as well as Starfox's Space Armada mission. There's something about blowing everything up every ship in the level that excites me. Most of the other levels don't have tons of optional targets like that one. Also, the music gets it just right to keep it exciting.

What happens if you don't pay on time? It seems to me that most credit companies, no matter how agressive, just want their money. They don't care when.

Yeah... and plenty of collection companies threaten the same thing. I would try to get as much money as possible by their deadline but I wouldn't stress out too much about the actual deadline. In the time it would take to get something like that through the courts you would have paid them by then anyways.

Local charities have a small enough scope that they eventually learn everyone's life story and find out who genuinely had a hard lot and who brought it on themselves.

I don't think I've ever agreed with you more ||bass. Just as long as they kept allowing rich people to benefit from get tax credit for donating money to charity, I think this would be an overall better scenario. It would ensure that at least some of that money they got back went into charity. They could even provide a better tax credit if the charity was local.

Welfare creates an underclass that depends upon it... it's a crutch. If you give someone a crutch that is almost as good as a real leg, who needs the leg?
