Diaxos grips his blade, preparing... He then sees the shower of shards, and scoffs. "Ha! I can protect against that more easily than-- huh?" But then they vanish. Johnathan's real attack closes in, catching Diaxos completely off guard. "Ohno!" Time seems to freeze for a moment as Diaxos' sword takes over. "Chaosmusket, Mastery Catch!" The attack reaches Diaxos, and Diaxos' arm and blade move at light-speed, catching and blocking the large projectile and shattering it. (Tech.) Noticable is that both of Diaxos' blue light-dots are gone. But after blocking the attack, the blade's runes flash blue twice, spawning two more blue lights. "Whew... What, are you trying to kill me? C'mon, this is friendly!" The crowd starts chipping in as well. "Bastard! This is a spar!" "Burn in Hell, child of the devil!" "Ssh, that wasn't nice, Rick..." "Dang, this kid's pretty good to block that attack like that..." "Go Diaxos!" Diaxos turns around real quick. "You guys aren't helping." He apparently doesn't like pressure. "Okay okay... So you're the characer Asriath spotted for me. Hey, uh, thanks for falling into his trap, by the way. Now I can erase you from the Material Plane. Lucky!" Schwa's hands flare with turquoise ether. "Tell ya what. I win, you die. But if you can hurt me to the point I can't battle anymore, I'll tell you where Sora's gone off to. A telepathic person can do that, after all. Do we have a deal?" |

| Allaura starts laughing.
"What's so funny, Allaura?" Quicksilver askes. "I read her mind... Heehee, she doesn't know the nature of Crimson Bubble. She's thinking of Azure Bubble." "Oh... That IS funny. You're cool, I like you." "Thanks." They brace themselves, and at the last moment, Allaura gets a brilliant idea. She gives her Light Barrier to Quicksilver, which mixes with the Dark Barrier and forms a light/dark overload in the area; both shields form into one superpowered, dangerous, flaring energy wall. The attack strikes! Allaura's barrier absorbs a good amount of the attack, but Allaura is still hit for a good amount. The attack barely harms Quicksilver, for his light/dark barrier's presence seems to protect him from the Chaos energy. On the other hand, the barrier is destroyed. It's Darth who takes the most damage, falling to minimal vitality and losing Techs for 2 turns. Furthermore, when Darth takes the damage, Crimson Bubble is activated. It expands, then shrinks, spinning around Mel really fast and showering her from every angle with wisps, which would do as much damage as the 3 of them together received (since they were all hit at the same time), which is very heavy. The bubble remains empty after attacking, and over 3 turns will recharge... Furthermore AGAIN, when Mel attacks and when the Bubble attacks back, in both instances, the damage is slightly reduced as the blue Prism starts to glow slightly brighter and Allaura's Attack, Defense and Agility stats rise a bit thanks to it's effect. Allaura's not done. After the Bubble finishes attacking, she releases her barrier in the form of a super-powerful attack (since the barrier's absorbed so much damage). "Wisp Crusher!" (echo effects) Allaura releases a beam of white, wispy ether straight forward en route to slam into Mel. It'll do very heavy damage if it hits her and throw her backwards. Two heavy-damage attacks on the same turn... wow. But Allaura is starting to feel the damage sinking in. "Wow... I've taken a bit more hits that I ought to have, haven't I? Let's hope these two attacks will finish her, because I'm not sure how much more of this I can take..." Quicksilver darts to Allaura's side. "I'll help you out. Darth doesn't look like he'll be doing much fighting. He's silenced and damaged." |

"Spear... Might be a weakness... Spear, leading to anger..." Silence. "I need to work on that. ...Don't know where I am... Not the Etheral Dimension... He must've saved my life... in that case, I owe him... ...owe Snow a favor..." He still doesn't know Corona's identity. He hasn't looked. "I wonder... if I could get Emily to fight while I rest... ...yes, I'll do that..." "Emily, please assist." "Ha, what kind of Tech was that? Oh, you're exhausted... I see. I'm coming, then." Emily hasn't arrived yet, but will soon... |

Allaura and Quicksilver just stare at the little girl's defense, mouths wide open. There's a long pause, and they stare at each-other... "She IS Star's daughter, after all," is Quicksilver's first remark. Allaura is not pleased. She grabs Quicksilver and shakes him. "Go... NOW... and FINISH her off!" "Geez, calm down princess! Ya know we're not trying to kill her, right?" "...." "Right??" "....Right... and I foolishly forgot..." "Seriously? Eesh." "I feel ashamed." "Remember, all you're trying to do is hold her off until Schwa arrives." "Right. Schwa, how are you holding up?" "Great! Die, Warlock, DIE!! Muhuhuhuhahahaha...." Allaura shakes her head, jittery and a little unnerved. "Okay... Schwa may be on his way soon. He's taken care of whatever he needs to... I don't have to fight for much longer. Let me tell Allaura." Hands still flaring with Ether, Allaura approaches Mel. "Do you still wish to fight me? You're not looking too good, Mel... I don't want this violence. Schwa's on his way, I think you should rest up. What do you think?" |

OOC: Late nothin'! We got 7 out of 6 entrants, baby!  To APH, to answer your question... I33t is kind of looked down upon by most respected posters here, including everyone posting in this thread so far (I believe). I'm trying to do us all a favor, that's all. Besides, I can't read I33t.
Schwa looks at all his allies, including the new appearances, Cappa and Team Forte. "Hiya, Cappa. Just lookin' for a brawl, as usual? ...Oh, and Forte and the rest have arrived as well. Hey Forte, perfect timing! We're gonna need some help with this one. Look!" He points at the portal. "That portal seems to be linked to another dimension or something, according to Dracoon's scan that I had to read his mind to get... sorry... I can sense something coming out. ...Oh, and look, here it comes." Military Base 394, The Maverick Reality Dimension hovers in front of the army, arms crossed, a huge portal behind him. Admiral Rathe, the reploid that first met Dimension in conversation, stands beside him. "Remember, Rathe, no matter what we can't let Sigma know about this... secret... of ours." "Yeah, but that'll be kinda hard when he finds 8 of his armies missing." "Don't worry. I said I'd do anything in my power to help. I'll use false information to keep him satisfied, and if all fails we can always use force, right?" "...." "Should we give the signal?" "...Yeah, good idea. You give it, though." Rathe steps aside. Dimension does a pose in mid-hover. "Reploids and robots of all kinds! This is our glory day! We shall march with vigor and take this universe over, and there is no room for faliure! Now... Let's RIDE!!" Amber Metropolis, Our Universe Suddenly, energy blasts begin to rain out of the portal towards the group. Following them is a massive army of Reploids, buster-cannons charged and firing away. It's insane-- instantly 50 of them are in the city! They're all on foot, so it could be worse, but still... "Insane!" Schwa exclaims, "Aw, do they HAVE to be robots? I hate computers..." But some of the group may recognize these particular robots. Reploids, that is. |

"Hey, dodge now? Naw, I think I'm just gonna stand and take the hit. Watch." Schwa kneels, and a huge coating of lavender ether flares over him. The petals whizz by, slicing across Schwa but each one glancing off doing almost zero damage. "You see we specialize in this defense. Handy, no?" Schwa stands and throws his hands forward, firing the lavender ether in a huge blast at Slur. While a big attack, it'll only do average Holy/Psychic damage if it hits her, since lavender ether isn't known to pack a punch. "Oh yeah, about Forte, don't forget: terrain advantage. It says it all. If we were fighting here, I doubt it'd be the same..." |

| Government Base, Our Universe
"Sir, we have a broadcast from someone." "Activate it." Dimension's face lights up on the Central CPU screen in the top-secret Government base. Immediately everyone in the room freezes in shock, staring wide-eyed at the screen. Who is this sinister character, and what does he have to do with this invasion? "Hello, human ruler..." he begins. "I am Dimension, traveller of Hyperspace. I have found an army from another universe to control, and because you are all unworthy, I am taking over this universe with my Maverick army." They panic. "What do you want from us, er, uh--" stutters the man in charge of the base... "Dimension," the robot reminds him, "But my name is not of much importance. We offer no truce with you. And we are too powerful to be defeated. As my 8 armies are warped to this universe, I believe I will sit back and enjoy watching you attempt to defend your pathetic countries. Farewell." The image flickers and vanishes... Amber Metropolis, Our Universe Spider's attack damages several of the approaching Reploids, but none of them are destroyed-- just wounded. "Ow!" "What-the..." Adric's attack is a little more effective, while doing less damage (the Reploids seem to be resistant to their own attacks), they hit more of the enemy, spreading the damage around a little. Cappa's attack barely harms them, but harms them nonetheless. Dracoon's attack knocks several of the Reploids back, but still, so far none of them have fallen. Star seems to be doing the most damage with physical attacks. "This is harder than I thought!" one of them comments. The Reploids seem to be super-strong, much stronger than those in our universe! Their armor also seems to be resistant to many forms of attack. But what's important is that they can't harm the party either, because of the shield brought up by Team Forte. Each charged shot glances right off. The Reploids keep on coming out of the portal... One of them seems to be colored a little different. His color-scheme is cyan-silver. "I'll take care of this..." He quickly charges his arm-cannon, and fires it up at an angle. A huge glob of shiny substance is launched into the air, and looks like it's about to come crashing down on one of the party members. This weird goo is known to encase the target in a thick, diamond-hard crystal coccoon, preventing movement. "Now they've got other weapons?" Schwa wonders... "Get outta the way of this attack! Dracoon, see if you can run a scan or something, find something out about them!" Schwa seems to be charging energy for a super-attack. Possibly Alpha Gamma Omega? Or would it be for a summon? Either way would benefit the party... There have been 2 turns of battle. |

| "I don't think so. Emotional Rockets." (echo effects)
Schwa claps ether-coated hands together and brings them apart, summoning 3 colored energy cones; one blue, one red and one yellow. As soon as they're summoned, he thrusts a hand forwards, and the yellow one takes off, homing in on Slur. It resists most elemental attacks with an etheral coating. Should this hit her, it wouldn't do damage, but instead cause intense sorrow, despair and grief along with randomly either a Poison or Slow condition. It's the perfect way to stop her in her tracks. "But think of this... Suppose you master fighting in the Material Plane, catch Forte here where YOU are at the advantage, stopping him whenever he tries what you just did... Would be kinda hard for you to lose, wouldn't it?" He nods enthusiastically. It's hard to get Schwa in a bad mood on these days! |

| "Perfect. Haha!"
The crowd pipes up. "'Perfect'??" "He's lost it..." "He's doomed!" "Goooo Diaxos!" The blades approach. Darting with semi-quick, almost ninja-like reflexes, Chaosmusket the Runed Katana darts in and out like crazy, purposefully getting in the flight-path of each disc, and shattering each one with a flashy swipe. Each block made causes the Katana's runes to flash and produce one extra blue light. By the time the attacks are done, 7 more lights are visible, making a total of 9 blues and 1 green. "Chaosmusket! Focus power!" 5 of the lights flash once, and burst into blue flames, which seperate into pieces and are sucked into the blade. The sword glows brightly... "Now... Combo Dash attack!" Diaxos blinks out if visibility as he darts in front of Johnathan and lets loose an elite slash. Then he darts to another angle, slashing again, then another angle. His combo consists of 6 steps, each for average Physical damage, adding up to be very, very powerful if they all connect for full. Diaxos ends his combo by darting back to his origional position. The crowd goes wild. "Hehe, not bad? Shouldn't have given me the means!" DChakra @ @ @ @ |

Schwa thrusts his hand again and makes a circular hand-gesture, as both remaining rockets take off in opposite directions, then head for Slur from opposite angles. ...but they aren't aiming for her; they're en route to crash into each-other very close by, resulting in a pretty big explosion of light and dark energy. It's a powerful attack and will throw Slur if it hits her, but because of it's power, just being close to it also seemed to damage Schwa too. Just a little, but still... "Think, Slur. Spars can't be taken too far, else they cease to be friendly sparring matches. I WILL teach you that." |

As Mel phases through her, Allaura turns around and fires an electricity bolt at Mel's back. If it hits, it does average Psychic/Thunder damage (actually above-average thanks to Allaura's stat-increases), then forms into a black cloud that hangs over the arena, doing seemingly nothing. It has a high chance to hit, since it doesn't give any time for Mel to recover from her attempted attack and switch to the defensive. "I'll only attack you if you attack me, Mel. Self-defense is legitimate. Damn, Schwa, where are you?" |

| Emily appears in a blue, swirling light, almost suddenly. She is in the form of a blue, firey fox with silver, glossy eyes of kindness. She looks like a creature made of Ether, and for a good reason-- she is just that.
"Alright... I'm here. Dang, Schwa... You look plum tired. Who's this?" No answer. Though healed, Schwa is so exhausted from the teleportation that he fainted. Emily studies 'Snow' with her glossy eyes... "Ah, Corona. Yes, Schwa's told me a lot about you... If I may share my opinion, you don't need to be proving that you're stronger than Schwa. It's apparent that you are... but then again, Schwa doesn't specialize in power; it's his tactics that allow him the victory. He doesn't meet many who can match power AND tactics with him on the same bout." Her voice is telepathic. There is a pause. "My name's Emily. I'm a Zraku, a 1,000 year old Psi Warrior soul set to guard the life of one live Psi Warrior. He requests that I fight in his place, with your permission... besides, I'd be more of your equal than he would be, by far." OOC: Warning. If you accept her proposal, prepare for a whuppin' unless you aren't afraid to hold NOTHING back. Emily is my special "super-power" character only used in special matches. I figured Corona *could* fit that category, so hey... |

| OOC: Oh yeah guys, as a reminder (none of you broke any rules, but reminders are good), don't forget to let me have a chance to "attack" back... don't just take turns attacking and attacking without letting "the narrator" make his turn (me). I try to post as frequently as possible, but bear with me, k?
Adric's attack knocks some sense into the advancing army. "Dammit, we're takin' damage!" "We can't afford to fall to our own attacks... Men, switch to a physical approach!" "Defenders out in front to take the brunt, NOW!" Several magenta-colored Reploids take the front lines, their busters charged. They fire, and instantly they're surrounded by wide, dome-shaped barriers that protect most of the army from the rest of the energy rune-attacks. At the same time, they all start running forwards, covered by the barriers, each equipped with a beam-sword similar to Zero's-- green, bright and sharp. They prepare to slice whomever they get close to. This includes Zero, who is faced with 5 reploids at once, who've moved in and surrounded him from all angles, 4 of which have a sword just like his, and one of which is colored with a watermelon-like color scheme. The four with swords attack Zero in tandem as long as they're standing, and the watermelon-colored one waits for an opening before lashing out with a thunder-coated claw on a chain, quick as lightning, every so often. This Reploid seems to purposefully keep his distance from Zero. Cappa's technique works PERFECTLY. The army notices that parts of them are slowing down due to the cement-goo, causing dogpiles here and there, and as well, confusion. Pretty soon the army is half-forced to widen out a little, decreasing it's density and the efficiency of the barriers. One annonymous Reploid in the army, colored a metalic lime-green/rust, fires a half-lob shot to Cappa; a huge sphere of acid, to silence him. Garro's attacks are caught by the barriers, but this causes some of the barriers to go out. Immediately those Reploids begin charging their weapons again to bring 'em up again. Meanwhile, Kalar absorbs MANY attacks at once, so many that it'll take a long time of mental reorganization and even training to completely sort the info. Nevertheless, it could very well indeed come in a lot of handy further ahead... Kalar's second attack pelts one of the Reploids, but it's glowing multicolored and running very fast, not seeming to be hurt. It targets Kalar and advances on him and Garro like you wouldn't believe, preparing to attack them... Spider's attack hits two of the Reploids-- one immediately explodes in a burst of white spheres, destroyed, dropping it's core at the same time. (Someone may want to pick this up.) The other one falls to low health and is thrown backwards into some of his comrades. "Uuhgh.." "C'mon, man, stand up!" "Can't... fight these guys..." "Take my E-tank then." The injured Reploid's ally hands him a container with an E on it. There is an electrical aura for a moment, and the Reploid rises back to 50% HP. He throws the now-empty container away and switches colors, gaining a gold scheme, points his buster forwards and fires huge spheres of electricity in succession at Spider. (They might connect with the Counters...) Dracoon's scan is very successful, as his scanner picks up data on several of the new Reploids with different colors in that area. As Cappa comes to close-range, three Reploids, one of them a metallic-crimson, surround Cappa. Immediately the red one douses him in a high-power flamethrower, while the other two bring their swords to bear against him at the same time. Meanwhile, more Reploids come out of the portal-- now there are Mech Walkers to add to the chaos! Each Walker is equipped with spiked fists, capable of rotating like power-drills to crush nearly anything, and piloted by an armor-wearing Reploid. The four Mechs target the nearest party-members, and one of them heads straight for Adric regardless of the others. Schwa gets Dracoon's scan. "Dracoon, these Reploids have all the attacks that X eventually obtained in our universe before disappearing! In fact, they may even be fitted to work with you, too. Make sure to pick up those Cores when you defeat one!" Schwa has one more turn of charging to go before pulling off an Ultimate. His right arm has turned purple and is flaring hugely with purple ether... There have been 4 turns of battle. |

As Corona begins his game, Emily focuses for a moment, and then lets loose her Breath Weapon attack; HyperEther. It's pure-white, highly-compressed ether that sweeps over the area, as Emily sweeps it from her right to her left. Connecting with it will burn with above-average Holy/Psychic damage, and a brunt-collision will likely throw the target. Nice to start out slow and easy... |

| Interesting! If I get enough free-time, I'll give this a shot. With ALL the levels. Or most of them, at least... How 'bout just the hard ones? I'm curious to see your guys's scores at Valley Fortress, which could very well be the hardest level in the game.
In fact, that's the level I'm doing first. Muhuhuhahaha... How 'bout it, guys? Valley Fortress? Are any of you up to it? I wanna see some digits. |

| This causes Emily to stop in mid-attack and try another tactic, possibly changing Corona's last move's outcome.
Before he begings to change back, Emily's body flares wildly as she emits an aura that draws in the etheral Corona. She tries to draw him in close enough, then with a panther-leap, plow through him, assimilating part of his life-force before he can transform back. (Since healing is illegal, the HP will be converted into a turn of charged energy.) If Corona transforms back first, though, he'll stop being drawn in, and Emily will execute a panther-leap anyway-- diamond-like, ether-coated claws outstretched for a high-powered tackle, kick off and land back in her origional position. The former attack does above-average damage and knocks the wind out of the target, the latter attack does a little more damage, Holy/Physical rather than (undefined). |

| Diaxos is amazed, and more than a little surprised, at this queer defense.
"Wow... You're some kind of ice creature! Yeah, that's it!" "Diaxos, watch out, he's attacking again!" someone in the crowd shouts. "No duh." Diaxos waits for the foe to approach, and upon his attack, Diaxos defends with Chaosmusket almost perfectly and counters with two fast, horizontal slashes. His defense wasn't spot-on this time, and he took a noticable cut on the right arm. He winces. "N-not bad..." Upon defending, Chaosmusket glows and produces 2 more blue lights. "Chaosmusket, Mana Shift." The sword's runes glow white as they draw in and absorb all 5 lights. The runes then glow green, producing 2 green lights instead. Diaxos now has no blues left, and 3 greens hovering close to the katana. "As for trying to kill me, I say you take everything too seriously. Lighten up! I just got here." The crowd goes wild at that. Cappa's attack fails to cut off the Reploid's arm-cannon, but it came down with such force that it sliced halfway through, essentially disabling his weapon for good. Sparks fly out of it, and the hurt Reploid stares at Cappa hostily. "What ARE you?" The other two Reploids stay back a bit, fearing this power, switch colors to silver, and proceed to throw a small series of razor-sharp boomerangs at Cappa. They curve slightly, making the flightpath a little tricky to track, and upon missing they loop in the air to return to the thrower. With Adric, the facial exp "Holy SHIT!!" KaBOOSH! The beam attack cuts through the Mech, puncturing the core like a butterknife and causing the whole thing to explode. There is some wreckage remaining, though, allowing Adric to kick-off successfully. The Reploid is thrown backwards at minimal vitality. The other reploids see this. "Men, get the geezer! And use caution, else you'll be winding up in Morph Moth's domain!" "Yeah!" "Get the geezer!" "To battle!" Adric finds about 17 Reploids after him, each armed with a saber, all 50 feet away and closing. They don't dare to fire any buster-shots, though... Kalar's attack fails to cut his head off, and glances off while seemingly barely scratching the Reploid. It seems like the armor coating these Reploids are very tough against all forms of attack. "Agh! That stings! Boy, you guys aren't ordinary fighters..." He backs away, and Garro's shot connects, throwing him into a building. The damaged Reploid falls to the ground, no longer able to fight, yet not quite destroyed. Schwa finishes his charge. "Alright! Satelite Unity!" (epic blast) Four huge crystals materialize in the corners of the area, rise into the air, gleam brilliantly, and each let loose a huge solar beam that sweeps over the whole army. This weakens it considerably. But still, more Reploids come out of the portal. Government Military HQ, Our Universe "We can't push 'em back!" the head of the military exclaims in an outrage. "They're just too strong! What in blazes are we to do?" "Sir, we're picking up a massive battle in Amber Metropolis. It seems some fighters have taken things into their own hands." "Aha... So they think THEY can take all the credit, do they?" "Sir..." "Here's what we'll do: Send in some XC-499 'Battery' Fighters to finish the wounded army and take the credit. That's an order! Move!" "Yes sir..." Planes take preparations to fly in a base far away from the battle... Things are soon to get complicated. There have been 5 turns of battle. |

Diaxos holds the sword up as the 3 green lights burn up, break apart, and are drawn into the blade... "...it's a SPAR!" The crowd cheers. "That's the way, laddie!" "Sock it to 'em!" "True guts, kid." "Chaosmusket! Pyro level Cappa attack!" Diaxos shifts the weapon to his left hand and makes a hand-gesture, as flames appear out of nowhere and gather in his hand. Soon, 5 large fireballs have formed around his hand, and with another motion and a forward thrust, the fireballs take off, one by one, blazing towards his foe. Each attack is packed with above-decent power, and if Diaxos judges correctly, he hopes they'll do extra damage to our icy friend due to an element weakness. "Whoa, so the kid can do magic too!?" "Aw, that rivaled even my Dragon Scorch attack..." "Hell yeah! That was more efficient than even my Holy Singe!" "Hey D! Where'd you learn to be so versatile?" Diaxos turns around. "You tell me, big guy... I just got here." They laugh lightheartedly. They seem to be enjoying themselves, and deep down, Diaxos feels warm in the presence of their enjoyable company. Positive emotional connections are never to be underestimated... |
