Link is not only a Nintendo-Character, but also a Standard Character in every Smash Bros. Game released to date.

Did you see the pics of queues over at IGN? elderly couples, students, girls, buisnessman, not just freaks and fanboys.

And I need a new DS in the next few months, my old wont last any longer...

It has quite snowed in the last few days, some streets are closed (Sihltal, Pfannenstiel, Solothurn / Olten / Argau, Basel)

I'm quite lucky, all services needed for telecomunication and others are still working, only traffic problems..

In Oftringen, they had to build emergency sleeping quarters for truck drivers, because they had summer tires.

Some images here

How's the snow in your area?

We had about 2m back in the 80ies.

It's just unexpected, what we have now.

But the weather itself is good here.

weatherreport says, that it's going to snow some more this night.

I just hope that the trains will be running tomorrow, as I have my first exam.

And lot's of trees gave in to the snow. That's about the biggest problems we currently have.

My Train was 20 minutes late, because of a door (f)ailure.

So I catched the one wich drove 10 minutes later.

There is still much snow here, the sun is shining, but forecast has it, that more snow is to come.

Posted on 03-10-06 11:25 AM, in GBA USB Cartridge (a little help, please) Link
As the Common Flashchips used on Memorysticks are too slow for direct use on a GBA, all those Flashcarts use Flashchips of another kind, like you see used for a CMOS-Chip for a computer BIOS. But as those are not widely needed in the size as for GBA games (8MBytes and up) it gets quite costly.

Cheep alternatives are the Supercard (Most DS and GBA games work) or the M3 (about the same quality). But expept loading times, while the game is copied to RAM inside the cartridge, as a CF or SD-Card is also slower than ROM-Chips in GBA Cards.

I myself had a Flash2Advance Pro 256MBit, thats 32MByte and enough for all GBA-Needs, but for DS-Games, and more GBA-Games and homebrew, a Bigger card may be purchased (like F2A Ultra).

You should get more help about Flashcards on Pocketheaven, there are also more news about PocketNES, SnesDS and other Emulators for GBA or DS.

I hope I could help ya.

If you allready have a GBA-Flash Cart, you may look if it's complicant with the GB-Bridge, wich allows to use GBA-Flash Carts as GBx Flash Carts.

I'm not that bad in Level-Editing, but I'm really bellow zero when creating Pixel-Graphics from Scratch, so if anyone wants to do GFX as he or she likes, for all GFX you can edit in our lovely Super Mario World Game, I would really appricieate it, if you could help me out.

The only restriction is, that the GFX should fit the mood of the Levels I designed.. and I think it may add to the expierence, if the graphics are designed for the key-element of any SMW-Hack, Level-Design (I think).

It may be just your standard Island Graphics, Water, Sky, Desert, Severs and Secret Levels, Bonus Graphics, Enemy Sprites and whatever.. but if YOU just happen to like to design for (, and even insert grafics to) Super Mario World, here is a chance for you, if you do'nt like to do something else.

I so could seriously use them, as I have some castle and doomship themed levels and OWs... do you mind?

Edit: A little late, kay, but it really looks good.

After 16 years of the same ol' Super Mario World Sprites, it's good to the eyes to see something new, now Super Mario World Hacking can continue for the next 4 years.

They may clash with existing sprites and back or/and foregrounds, but that's to happen when you mix different styles together, just wait till all sprites are replaced.

I'm sure that those ASM-Gods and Hex-devils will come up with a way, if it's not allready known, to have those sprites with more frames for animation or colours and different palettes.

Congrats, icegroom, you did something, we all dreamed of.

And go with the Sumo Version of Sumo-Bros (A Giant Hammer Bro from SMB3 could look good too), but I think you should do both, different areas, different bros.

Thanks, I'll await your call then.

The skulls on the doomship indicate, that those would better fit in a Wario Land Theme than Mario World..

I'm not happy to say this, but we got a bomb-thread in Zürich.

According to the city police of Zürich, a man went into the Tunnel leading to Tiefenbrunnen, and left his backbag in there.

At the same time, the Swiss National Railways got a anonymous fax stating the bomb scare.

No damage to time, only annoyed passengers and commuters, as Zürich Stadelhofen is the eye of a needle for the S-Bahn System.

Overworld Overworld Menu : Star and Pipe Level Tile Settings

This dialog can only be used if you select one of the layer 1 star or pipe tiles first.

The star and pipe tiles are used by the game to allow the player to warp from one submap of the overworld to another. Each tile is (or should be) linked to another, and there can only be as many links as there are in the Star/Pipe link table, which is already full. However, if you're careful you should never have to use this dialog, since the overworld editor can automatically track the pipe and star tiles and make the necessary changes to the position tables when you move them. But if for some silly reason you deleted one or more of the tiles, you can use this dialog to re-link the tiles to one another.

Rather than get into a long explanation of the coordinates and how the dialog links the two tiles, just carefully follow this procedure to re-link any two star and/or pipe tiles: (Just make sure to sort out which two indexes you're going to use ahead of time.)

· Select the first tile, and enter this dialog. For the Exit index to use, select the first index you're going to use. Set the Destination exit index to "No Setting". Hit ok.
· Select the second tile, and enter this dialog. For the Exit index to use, select the second index you're going to use (must be different than the one you used for the first tile). Set the Destination exit index to the first index you’re using (the same one you set for the first tile). Hit ok.

· Select the first tile again, and enter this dialog. You can now set the Destination exit index to the second index you're using. Hit ok.

And that's it. The two tiles should now be re-linked to one another.

It looks a lot like GB Donkey Kong, may you could work a little bit with the BG, so that it fits more to the FG.
