Put your header in a div. Then create the 3 divs, each the percentage of the page width you want the to occupy. For instance: 15%, 60%, and 15%. Also, set their min-height to 100%. Then set the the float property on the second two to left. This will cause them to overlap on the left of the screen, then you just use left margins to separate them. In the case of using 15%, 60% and 15%, left margins of 2%, 20% and 83% would likely work.

I considered doing the same thing. But, better judgment kicked in.
I'm sure it would have been closed within minutes if I had done it, though. |

Israel would definitely be the worst place to hold a Holocaust Deniers Convention.
Actually, the whole phrase "Holocaust Deniers Convention" sounds silly. Like there's a big show room where various hate groups set up booths. I'd say what I think about Holocaust denial but, I already have. |

The site seems to be having issues. Probably too many people trying to use it at once.
I tried it out. Its kind of like those toy glasses that have the pictures of eyes in it. No matter who you try it with it looks hilarious. I don't see why you cant just use a mic to record a message though. |

...this is the only one that requires schedule 20 PVC pipe, and aerosol deodorant.
Today, I made a potato gun. And although I'll admit I'm often easily amused, I have to say shooting a spud at 300 mph is a very enjoyable experience. It's also incredibly dangerous. I shot one at a brick wall 30 feet away, and the potato just disintegrated. Firing it sounds like a shot gun. Even if it never occurred to you that you might want to use potatoes as ammunition, I highly recommend giving it a try. I loosely followed plans in Popular Mechanics, but I'm sure there are decent plans on the internet. Although if you've never assembled PVC pipe, I suggest getting help from some who has, having the gun blow apart in your hands probably isn't fun. |

I like it.
I like things that are detailed, but still look neat and simple. |

This is nice, but every time you post pictures they pour out over the following posts. Try setting your min-height css property to 100%.

The argument that Holocaust denial is offensive, although I don't feel its ground to outlaw it, I can at least understand.
However the "it will incite violence" argument just bothers me. Fear of possible violence, or just fear in general, is the worst, although most often used, reason to infringe free speech. It's the type of argument the PRC uses to filter the word Tankman. Obviously, that's different. But who are you to draw the distinction? Who is anyone? If there was a clear cut, universally agreed upon, distinction between "right speech" and "wrong speech", there would be no need for freedom of speech. But there isn't, and trying to block out specifically unpopular opinions defeats the purpose. Its rarely the popular speech that need protecting. |

I would quote my reply to that from the last thread, but you can just go read it yourself if you care.
Although, having exactly the same debate twice, especially through quotes from the original just seems silly. Edit: (This was supposed to be a reply to Arwon) (edited by emcee on 12-22-06 02:58 AM) |

There's no need to peel or wash the potatoes, unless you actually intend on making mashed potatoes. You chamfer the end of the barrel to a sharp edge, then just force the potato in. The edge cuts off excess, to create a good seal for compression. Then you just push it down to the end of the barrel with a dowel rod or something.
I just checked, and they're legal in most US states, as well as most other countries. So in other words in the state of Michigan, a device that launches 1 by 3 inch projectiles at 300 mph is completely legal, but don't get caught with a roman candle. |

Just be sure to leave before you get cancer. |

I'd like to take part in this thread, however I was killed two months ago in a horrific potato gun related accident. It was a closed casket funeral.
The world wasn't doing too good before I left it though. The polar ice caps had melted and the Tennessee coast was constantly being battered by hypercanes. And don't even get me started on those damn dirty apes. On the upside, we seem to be making progress in Iraq. (edited by emcee on 12-26-06 07:59 PM) |

It seems like a company known for its graphic design software could come up with better icons then squares with letters in them. |
