The only thing is that I've been having performance issues with some games and hope I can get them cleared up before October. One can see it in my Dark Messiah benchmark.(Recorded Using Fraps)

I really don't care so much for the original generation games. There's nothing too exciting about them. I've never really seen why people have been so excited for original generation's release in the states. It's no big step in the way of getting the real SRW here anyway.

The US hasn't even have released most of the anime that the robots seen in game are from anyway.
I'm talking Mazinger, Great Mazinger, Getter Robo, Voltes V, Combattler V, assorted Gundam'u, Dancougar, the list goes on and on. And aside from actually having the anime on US shores, there's also getting all the legal work of having all those characters in the same game which they had to go through while making the game in Japan. |

There are cooking shows and then THERE ARE COOKING SHOWS.
Seriously Iron Chef is so entertaining(the American version sucks ass though) even if it's just two chefs battling in the ever famous "kitchen stadium"...Aww who am I kidding, there's NO way to play it down, it's just that epic of a show. Those segments where Kaga talks about the chefs is also crucial: "If my memory serves me correctly"-- haha! |

Yay artificial fruit! That seriously sounds too crazy for me, mate. I don't think I'd be able to handle it in all its fruity intensity.

Excellent movie. Way better than the first. Although they still haven't mastered the skill of suspense.
"The black pearl is the blablablablabala. Oh look! There it is!" "The flying dutchman is the blablablablablba. Oh look! There it is!" Please, fabio, sandrock, use Spoiler: tags because there are people who haven't seen the movie yet.
Two things that have me really excited for the next movie: -Keith Richards as Jack's dad(old news) -Chinese Pirates!(Chow Yun Fat included) |

The movie was pure fun, plain and simple.
Needless to ask, but did everyone cheer in your theater when Sam Jackson said the most famous line of the movie?(you know the one) |

The movie was entertaining. It knew what it wanted to be and didn't exceed those boundaries. It wanted to be an over the top comedy mixed in with elements of horror and sheer gore and I think it achieved that pretty well.
Another note about my audience: Spoiler: Before the guy got bit on his "little friend", the crowd groaned in disgust prior to it along with one person saying "oh no! not the penis!". Hilarious. (edited by Jin Dogan on 08-21-06 12:22 AM) |

Originally posted by sandrocklq How is that possible? Most Israelis look pretty Arabic. It must be more of just looking at their faces and stuff. Racial profiling is stupid. Considering that terrorists have been from many different countries, racial and ethnic groups, it's pretty difficult to confine it to one group. If one were to look at the Radical 'Islamic' terrorist group plots, one would see that there have been several people who are Black, Asian(South, East, whatever), White, and Hispanic, to name a few. This is on a slightly different topic, but I remember last year hearing of a flight coming from Cuba that crashed and like everyone knew who was behind it and could've locked away the culprit but the US didn't want to mess with any Cuban related issues. Fuckin stupid. |

Most of Israel is clearly the same way towards Muslims. They just don't say it out loud. But it's really obvious that they don't want a nation full of Muslims to be strong. It's obvious that Israel sees its own security as of far greater importance than anyone else, especially an 'Islamic' country. If you look at it, conflicts with Israel(especially Palestinian involved ones) are less about the desire of Jews being killed. In fact, a poll was taken in Palestine where somewhere around 65% of the voters said they want a lasting peace instead of pointless fighting. I have never agreed with either side but have noted how Israel holds this idea of providence very tightly. How could the ceasefire stay? Israel hasn't completed anything remotely close to their proclaimed goal of wiping out Hezbollah... It just seems like they were just using an excuse to bomb Lebanon and they got away with it without a slap on the wrist. These cluster bombs are a clear evidence of that. While they are legal, many have been placed in residential areas(not legal) and as a result, many children and other innocent people have been harmed and even killed. And what the hell is this? Bush pledges $230 million in Lebanese aid? Oh that's a wonderful policy, expedite bombs used to blow up a country and then use all this money to inefficiently clean up the mess. Sound familiar? No, but he sold weapons to Israel. They had to speed up the delivery of the bombs for them.

Whooo!! Yea. Wow man. Five years go by like that! *snaps fingers* My five year anniversary is coming up on the 29th.
I was sad to know that melvin.cymoro.com isn't up anymore. I don't believe I have ever been in a story with you(for the short time I even posted in those)... But cheers to like the only other person who knows enough about mecha anime to make nerdy conversation with! |

Yes but it's not always the question of "Is racial profiling ethical?" as much as "Is it efficient?". As I mentioned, with international threats, like at airports, it's not efficient because:
a.)Many times it can be difficult to determine someone's race just by looking at them, which is what happens. And ignorance to outside cultures doesn't help in determining these things. b.)There have been attackers from various races and ethnicities. |
