HAHAH! Yes.

You can't even taste string cheese. It's so small.. it's like trying to taste a single strand of celery. No taste. It doesn't make sense. You just gotta bite into it and... it's yummy. Cause you can taste it and stuff.

Why is it any different if they're "illegal" or a "non-illegal" immigrant. I think you guys are confusing the issues.. no one cares about a piece of paper that says your legal. Besides the people who are concerned with collecting taxes from these people.

The issue here is employment. Immigrants will work longer hours, more productively for cheaper wages. A threat to American workers.. they'll cheapen labor and whatnot. That's the main issue.

Personally... I think that there's enough money to go around. Honestly... has minimum wage lowered since we've had droves of illegal immigrants comming into our country? No. In fact, we've always had droves and droves of illegal immigrants comming into our country. This isn't a real issue... it's a flaw (or a blessing depending on who you are), that always exists.. and it's being used as a platform for the mid-term elections. It's like saying.. "Well you know... the skies still blue, how are we allowing it to still be blue?"... it's a non-issue. Something people will make a big deal about.. then after the mid-term elections... forget about completely. Like how after the presidential election people forgot about the veterans again... and how the issues of social security and other election issues still haven't been dealt with at all (abortion).

If you really want to stop the massive amount of Mexican immigrants comming into our country... then why don't we help improve mexico? Central America is a mess right now... and it's probably in our best interest to help them out anyways. Considering that they're like... on our border.

Ohkay, seriously think about this.

Do you think that masturbating is to some degree... homosexual? Cause technically... you're touching the same sex body part.

Now, before you dismiss it... seriously think about it. I haven't come to a good acceptable conclusion yet myself.

I don't think the avatars show the personality.. it's more like people read the post and then look at the avatar usually to identify who it is quickly.. and that persons character gets attached to the avatar. So it's like.. that avatar is how you recognize them.. cause you know.. can't really make eye contact here.

So, I actually don't know what my avatar is at this point. Time to see how people identify me.

How would railing a rhino be pleasurable at all? Oh well, that's not the question here. If animals could consent and talk to you.. then I don't think it'd really be an issue. I think if you can converse with it.. and it can understand what you're saying.. and agree to it.. you can do anything you want to it. Well, unless it's like... kill it or hurt it. I mean even if the person or animal you were talking to was a masochist.. it's still not right. Wow the question of beastiality comes up and I'm talking about masochist squirrels already.

I wonder if certain species would have a certain demeanor in like a bar type setting. Like beavers give it up on the first date... or shit like never buy a drink for a goat. I wonder if certain animals would be snobby towards us, or accepting or what. If I were an animal I'd be pretty pissed off right now.. polar bears are falling through the icecaps of the earth because of global warming, we kill like 298347928374293847 chickens, cows, pigs, and etc.. like every day.. like they're just raw materials or something like iron ore or something.

If beastiality is so wrong.. because they can't consent... then why isn't like putting a dog to sleep wrong.. or like killing a chicken for food wrong. It's funny we can put a dog to sleep without it's consent... but we can't put a human to sleep even if they consent AND they are in excruciating pain. It's just a strange irony.

Posted on 04-19-06 02:25 AM, in Christianity, abortion, and the idea of punishment for sex Link
When my health teacher taught abstinance in my 11th grade health class.. the class kind of just laughed and shrugged it off. People are always going to have sex. Always.

So Eve's punishment was childbirth and having to suffer through it. And you're going to tell me that this is the word of god? I think it's more of a give/take situation. You can't have a positive without a negative... you can't create life.. (positive for the slow ones).. and not give up something in return.. in this case physical pain. That's just the way I see it. Now, the bible was written by men. HIS-tory. I don't mean to get all uberfeminist on you... but I doubt that our creator would intentionally punish women and order that they be subserviant to men. It sounds like there was some not-so-devine intervention there.

What's really strange though.. is how religion reflects the beliefs of people. People way back in the day didn't understand nature... so they believed it was devine.. and they made it so. Then people began to tame nature, and decided that there was maybe a creator of nature and the earth and the universe itself.. and it became god. Then when he communicated with the prophets... somehow it reflected the beliefs of the time period. It just seems that religion seems to follow the beliefs of humanity.. and faith and believing is what makes it real.. as opposed to what's actually the truth.

That's my kind of sort of rant on religion. But, in the bible the beliefs of like ancient people, and people of like 2,000 years ago are reflected. So of course women were depicted as subserviant.. and to some degree evil. People are now just taking old beliefs and applying it to the issues now... which is abortion and contraception. Contraception allows women to be kind of dominant... they can control their sexuality and not have to fear. It kind of questions the model that women should be sub-par to men.

It's not politically charged. It's a fact. I'm an animal lover, and I love the environment. But when someone starts talking about animal rights or the environment.. they're suddenly a politically charged crazy lunatic with an agenda.

It's nothing on you, it's the way everyone looks at it.

Well if they could talk and feel emotions.. are they not a sentient being?

Posted on 04-19-06 02:41 AM, in What do you think of tomboys? Link
I wonder who came up with the name "tomboy"..

When I was younger I was a huge tomboy. I never ever wore makeup (most of the girls started wearing makeup in like 3rd grade, I kid you not.. you gotta love NYC).. never wore dresses, shoes or skirts.. never really fixed my hair. I was obsessed with riding my bike when I was little. I played with my neighbor Mike alot and we used to climb trees and pretend we were like at war with each other.. fake guns and stuff. I dunno, that's how I played as a kid. Most girls were like super girly as kids.. like barbie dolls, makeup, nails, obsessing over hair, girls rule boys drool, my little pony... that's how my sister was at least. I was always outside.

But as I got older it kinda faded a bit. I started dressing more girly.. and I started doing my hair and wearing eyeliner eventually around like 14.. but it wasn't until kinda recently that I started dressing more girly. I used to always wear like big baggy shirts, hoodies and like u.f.o.'s or big baggy black pants or something. At like 16 I discovered jeans and cute shirts and the world of shoes.. the lovely lovely world of shoes..

I'm still definatly more tomboyish than most girls my age though. I play tons of videogames, I play guitar, I can skateboard.. and I prefer to hang out with and talk to guys moreso than girls. Alot less drama.. and I can relate to guys alot better. It's weird.

I've cut down alot actually. I don't buy packs anymore really.. just mooch when I can. Which is not very often. I guess I'm a social smoker.. if everyones sitting around and talking I'll have one.. it relaxes you and some of the best conversations of your life happen while you're taking a drag of a cigarette. It kind of puts people at ease, it's fun to talk to people when they're relaxed.

I put "I smoke occaisionally". My last cigarette was like 5 days ago... but we were all just sitting around drinking some mikes hard.. and cigarettes just go with that atmosphere. So I'll participate if that's the case.

Us wiccans get enough shit.

And Yule is the winter solstisce.. December 21st usually. It's the shortest day of the year (in the northern hemisphere).. but it's kind of optimistic because from that point on the days start to lengthen again. To me being wiccan just means to be aware of the changes and the patterns in the world around you. And if you want to make fun of that go ahead.

I would be fine if they didn't genetically alter chickens to the point of they can't walk. Their legs physically break under the weight of their own enlarged bodies. I mean, aren't we not supposed to fuck with nature.. isn't that like the big issue with coloning and even to some extent, contraception. It's cruel and inhumane. And if they didn't abuse the animals in the factories I'd be fine with it to. If there was a more humane way to kill them.. I'd be cool.

What stirs me though is why we feel we have the power to just go out there and mass murder animals? I know, food chain.. they eat each other to. But we've gotten to the point where we don't really have to rely on them for food anymore.. so that's why I refuse to participate in it. You can eat other things.. and actually be healthier. We've tamed the world to a point where we don't have to rely on animals for food anymore. The only reason now is "because it's yummy".

"I suppose ideal would be treating each farm-raised chicken as if it were a millionaire's pet poodle, giving it expensive food and its own private living conditions"

No. That would be an economically and environmentally STUPID. Just don't keep them in a like 1 foot wide cage.. and stop injecting them with crazy drugs to make them huge- would be nice. Why does everyone assume that people who believe in animal rights are crazy? I think PETA gives us a bad name. I literally get attacked when I even open my mouth for like two sentances.. and it's not just here. Every time I eat and leave meat off my plate I get this look like I have some sort of uncurable mental disease.
