heh, will I learnt a while back if you want a console at launch you pre-order months in advance.

Update finished and I have a orange rather than red standby light.

Looking at these online channels; Mario64 will cost me £7 (13.7067 US$) - and it's licence so I wouldn't own it.

The News channel will not be online until 27th January with the forecast channel starting on the 20th.

Back to Zelda I guess.

Who are you kidding? Nintendo have money. There is also the fact that it's late Sunday evening here and no-one is in online with their Mii's make me worry what it will be like when it's prime time. My guess is that I'm connecting to a server in the US and not in Europe.

Yeah, I was quite impressed with the way I found out about that. I woke up went in to my front room to iron a shirt for work and the Wii was glowing a dim blue. So I turned it on and had a message from Nintendo telling me that the Forecast channel was ready.

Does anyone happen to know if there is patch out there that swaps Mario's GFX for Toad's? If there is, did the hacker bother with the various power up GFX.

*Imagines Toad with raccoon tail and Toad in Hammer Bros. Suit*

Also, what SMB3 game editor do you guys recommend? I use Win XP.

I remember there's a hack out there called Toad Bros. (SMB1 Hack) It looked like Omniverse made that hack back in the day but as for Toad having sprites with suits doesn't exist. The Toad smb1 hack has some Toad sprites you might wanna use to jump start a SMB3 hack. Here's a preview...

And for hacking SMB3, take a look here. You'll have no prollem using those editors in Windows XP, but MI3 didn't work too well on my pc.

I think I've been miss quoted

How do you Wii? Mines setup on a projector in my spare room. So I guess I have a Wii room - how wrong does that sound

I've just been messing with the new Wii media player. It works via the web browser and does quite well.

http://www.redkawa.com/mediacenters/wiimediacenterx/

I've converted a few videos it's not too bad a bit choppy, the MP3 player don't work (yet)

I've also downloaded a few shockwave games and run them on the same local webserver from here:

http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/games/

Duck hunt is quite ironic.

I was going to mess with that Java NES emu later. Anyone else set that up on their LAN yet?

Why would you want a mouse? I've been useing my Wiimote as my mouse on my PC. It’s quite crazy when you think we have a gyroscopic mouse at work that cost £600 (and that’s UK£ not US$) 2 years ago. If it breaks we should replace it with the Wiimote for £30.

That is a fair point, allot of the hacks to seem to be crazy with the track design... I just hope your not including my hack in that bracket

I'm sorry to say that I don't know how to get around that issue
http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=9300
At least in your case you can export all 5 track into a fresh rom. As you can imagen with mine there are all manner of changes that I have to make in additon to the 'new' copy, AI, Hex edits, GFX etc.

I did like the MC tracks, some of the edges are quite stright but it's a real pain to get proper rounded corners there are so many tiles in MC levels. Don't give up on your hack the more active hacks in the works the more interest there will be

Do you have to set your alarm every night before going to bed?

My mobile phone allows me to set a recurrent alarm for any given day of the week. This means I don’t have to worry about setting the alarm the night before (or being woken up early at the weekend)

Oh someone linked to my webspace.

You can find the names by doing a search for the players names with the 'normal table'

0A - A
0B - B
0C - C
0D - D
0E - E
0F - F
10 - G
11 - H
etc.
but use a wildcard between the letters... I think it's '00' so mario is 16 00 0A 00 12 00 1B 00 18 but I might be talking shit it's been a long day.

It's really good to know someone else is working on a hack, I look forward to the updates on your progress.

I’m glad you’ve opened this up to the public. These notes have already been shared with me and have helped no end with my hack.

It’s a really comprehensive set of notes and to be honest I’ve not even scratched the surface of can now be changed with the aid of these offsets yet.

With regard to the notes I'd love to see some list with GlitchCog's SMK pallet data, with all your offsets, D4s' notes and all known stuff in one place.

Thanks for sharing all you and Ok Impala!'s hard work, let’s hope this inspires some more people to SMK hack - and maybe make an new editor will turn up.
