I'm interested, I'll give you that, but I think the inclusion of supermoves would be impressive... Stuff along the lines of calling down an airstrike from Great Fox, or having the entire cast of Fire Emblem attack. Maybe only enabling it when a character got above 100% damage, or something. An equalizer move.

I hope there's also the same degree of single-player immersion and the excessive amount of unlockables that SSBM had. I can't tell you how much fun I had getting all of the trophies, I thought it was a great system, and it made me happy to just look into the trophy room and see that massive pile of trophies everywhere.

New challenges! New characters! Online play! Nintendo can give us more!

I'm in. This sounds fun, and I'm willing to bet it's one of the only ways someone'll beat Kyouji in Mariokart.

Monk.

Your motives are as pure as Tibetan snow. Not for you the temptations of the lush life—you find joy in the simpler pleasures. Your blissful detachment from financial concerns is positively un-American.

Of course, your generosity makes you a ripe target: If you don’t watch your pockets, plenty of people will be happy to pick them. But knowing you, you’ll just keep skipping along, pockets empty, grateful for the lighter pants.

Want some cash? I complain when I have none, and give my last few cents to little kids who don't have enough for their toys.

OOC: Spoken like a true mod, Kirb.

As the dark rain fell, Grey realized the chaos was indeed getting out of hand, and his own flight was far removed.

It was decided that the best thing for him to do would be to remain Earthbound at this point. He sank back to the ground at an alarming rate, and noticed his head starting to hurt a little bit. He was having trouble thinking. His marbles were definitely not the best weapons to use at this point. Too volatile, he thought. Grey lost his marbles, and his head hurt. What a drag...

Grey: "Ergh... What to do now... Can't think... TK's out. Nijote's gonna come in anytime now. I need someone to tag... Who's still around?"

Grey held his head as he tried to gather the strength for a psychic burst, but he was just waddling around with his head in his hands. His cranium felt like it was going to burst. Rain always gave him a headache...

"Gotta rely on my trusty sidearms, for the time being..."

Grey pulled out a few objects and began equipping himself with them...

A white and silver iPod, which he fastened to his side and clamped the headphones (earbuds were inferior...) around his ears.

His favorite watch, which had a digital and analog clock on it, both of which were perfectly synchronized.

An N64 controller, which he wrapped the cord of around his left forearm. He held the port in his hand.

His former roommate's yoyo, which he held in his right.

And his Nintendo DS, which he stashed back in the pocket of his pants. He didn't know how, but he knew it'd come in handy at some point.

Decked out with all of his usual street gear, Grey closed his eyes, exhaled, and waited for his opportunity to come...

"Come on..."

OOC: I saw the picture, Ted. It looks awesome. Here's a present...

Grey: "There's one!"

Mistaking the passing Zap for a combatant in his headache-induced confusion, Grey whips out his N64 controller and hurls it like a spearhead at what would, to anyone else, seem like nothing more than a wandering pedestrian. But in this city, they say anything can be done...

The controller's cord wasn't the usual ten-foot fare, either. An import, Grey had it customized to extend MUCH further than its American counterpart. His intention? To trap what seemed like a random person in his web (cord?) of intrigue, and tag them and pass on the curse.

"TAG! God damn, I hope to whatever's out there that this is it..."

If Siryx had been paying attention, he'd have noticed the solemn-faced young man who had approached him from behind...

It was strange, to him. Really, it seemed almost as if every time he entered the scene, there was a cacaphony of dead bodies and destruction around him. None of it was, of course, his fault... But it sorely reminded him of that alien mantis he had once faced. And the robots, oh, the robots...

He was short. Only a few inches under six feet, he thought, but around his peers his thin frame looked rather unimposing. He wore a dark green vest, with an incredible length of tiny wire surrounding his arms. Dark jeans. Cropped green hair, a haggard face, and what looked like they could have been at one time some very expensive italian shoes.

He said nothing. He had been far too scarred and far too scared for far too long to want to say anything ever again.

He rarely gave his name; it wasn't like he was able to. But for those with a nose for knowledge, he referred to himself with just one name...

"Miller".

-----------------

Johnathan nodded. He understood a little better now. But still...

Johnathan: "I see. He is a pathetic being, then. No concern for what is truly important. Do with him what you will, but I may not be around next time to save you. Or you, me. Good day."

He did nothing more than walk away...

-----------------

Evan was completely taken off guard by the knee to the stomach. Of course, that didn't mean it hurt him like being blasted with a tactical nuke or a satellite laser would, but still, it was kinda inconvenient to be suddenly hit in the gut by what you previously thought was an innocent little girl with a disproportionately large weapon.

Using his catch-you-off-guard-since-he's-a-pretty-big-guy agility, Evan grabbed the little girl's knee as soon as it connected and softened the blow a bit, an instinctive reaction from one-too many hammer shots to the gut in his own dimension. Suddenly realizing what this implied, he let go of her bewilderedly, backed off a few feet, and tried to yell out to Shen.

Evan: "Sh-shen! What the hell is going---"

And then the barrier.

"Oh..."

I think they'd just end up including Andy or Jake for good measure... Clone the moveset, but they wouldn't really be any good WITHOUT some kind of super move system (case in point: CO powers). See? It has its useful implementations. Maybe rather than a come-from-behind win, you could just have an MVC-styled buildup bar for moves. Hell, you could make it so that Jake's B moves are more powerful when he's standing on the ground than when he's in the air, though programming that would be a nightmare.

But... I suppose that would completely ruin the spirit of Super Smash Brothers, too? (Actually, yeah, probably. The game seems to revolve around nothing more than just beating on people, I'm sure there's no real need for any kind of super move system.)

EDIT: Wait, Geno's in Superstar Saga. What's with the rights?
